I love the art style! It looks so fun! It was really hard to play at first, but I eventually got the hang of it. What is the unconventional weapon? Was it the candles?

Out of all the games I played today, this one felt most complete. It is simple without being boring. It is difficult without being frustrating. Very well done.
Thanks Tim - that alone made the whole weekend worth it :)
I didn't get a vote on my last comment, and I had no idea that there was a shoot button. (I missed the text on the title screen XD)
Can't play becuase of lack of linux build.
Cool style and particle effects. It was hard to control though, took me quite a few goes to stay alive for more than 20 seconds. Nice vibes overall, very polished.
Im on windows 7 64bit, and I can't run it.
I got this error message :
> Dxgi.cpp : GetContainingOutput() failed!
> DXGI_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED:
> Requested audio format unsupported
Didn't rated the game :/
Sound was way too repetitive and annoying.
Movement was a bit too slippery. I understand that's the point of the game, but just a little bit less slippery would make it much more playable.
Confetti is the foundation of any good game. Well done.
@zipydooda - I have changed the title screen to show the "shoot" instructions in orange highlight. I think it was easy to miss before.
@Muffin - Thankyou very much. I assure you, any cool styling was a happy accident! I'm a coder without the art gene, which is probably why the
controls are somewhat hard to approach.
@rgehan - my appologies. I wish you could have ran the game :(
@TurboCorp - That's fair. The sound effects went in 30 minutes before the deadline and it shows. I spent too much time on Saturday fiddling with the
terrain generation. Typical programmer blunder!
I have a post-compo version with visual and audible feedback on the thrust mechanic, and this made it much more playable. I wish I'd have added this
for the compo. I also made the candle wicks ignite a half second before launch, so it's easier to make decisions about what threats to engage.
Thankyou all for taking the time to play and share your comments!
The physics of the hat are interesting but super tricky
Really good art and Graphix!Nice sound but could be cool if you would add some music...
