The whole game certainly is on one screen, albeit a huge one.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD31 → Picofrio: Shadow Play night

The whole game certainly is on one screen, albeit a huge one.
I will remove the embeded version, it can be played on Web :)
I... can't really tell what I'm supposed to do here. I got the fire? but can't seem to do anything with it.
The objective is to collect the golden pieces scattered over the level and place then in the correct cauldron.
You can use the ice breath on the turtles to turn them into solid ice and thus use them as platforms.
Good good graphics for this mbross clone. Lack sound? a shame because with some more speed it could be a even better platformer. Good done!
WOHHH That's a huge screen!
I wish I had have the time to make a beautiful soundtrack. So unfortunately It is mute, yes.
Screen size can be adjusted by pressing: "ctrl + mousewheel".
In Mac you can use "Visualization -> reduce".
Nice platform. Big screen resolution on the web player.
Really like the game and graphics!
I thought the game was broken until I by instinct pressed F11 to fullscreen. Include a warning for stuff like that is a good idea!
Great graphics. Using ice breath to turn enemies into platforms is great, and since you can't really "kill" them there's always tension (will that enemy thaw too quickly?)
Jumping is a bit floaty.
The game is a bit bland. Also, the start position is absolutely horrible as an introduction. It is way to hard to progress. The freeze mechanic is quite novel, though. But please state that you use spirits from other games. The portals didn't work for me, they didn't warp me trough the level, or are they just for spawning enemies?
Hi Woodecker, I realize now I should have managed resolution better, I will definetly expatiete on it next time! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the issue.
Thanks Dohxis, i'm very glad you liked it! :D
I will definetly include more information about that, try and stop it from keeping being a problem.
I am very happy you really got that detail tigerbyte! :D
I apreaciate your plain dealing Random Abductions. The sprites are actually remade, but I guess they look exactly the same, sorry for that. Portals are portals and should wrap you, you can tell me more about where you are running it so I can try and find out why doesn't it work for you.
Thank you all for your imput, it feels GREAT when someone does enjoy playing oneself's game! :D
nice graphics, but hard to play due to the browser resolution. well done
I uploaded new thumbnails explaining the Ice Breath mechanics.
Also added a Disclaimer about the resolution Tinimations.
I think the theme for this one should be Entire Screen On One Game ;) The enemies sure looked familiar...
Yeah we talked about that arzi.
The enemies are intended to be a reference :)
Very nice game, but it lacks sound for setting nice mood
Nice game I really like the freeze mechanic. You should add sound that would increse the mood :)
Listening to your wishes I made an "After Compo" build using one of my favourite songs from CSOTN as a "mood setter". I hope you like it :)
The game could certainly use a more carefully crafted level. There is only one route to reach many points, that's problematic because most of the "action" happens in one area of the level, making the rest kind of a "waste of screen". Another issue is that enemies tend to get closer and closer(a byproduct of the freezing mechanic), so later on when reaching the golden piece on the top you have to wait a lot.
Freezing enemies to make platforms is an interesting mechanic. It would be nice to be able to use the freeze attack in mid-air.
Forcing a complete restart when you die seems a bit excessive, since players aren't likely to want to retrieve the first 1 or 2 gold pieces all over again when there's only one specific path to do so.
Very cool graphics :)
Error 404 on compo build. :(
fixed
