A nice 5 minutes of game, here - nice that it isn't too ruthless with dead ends and suchlike. Have you considered trying to expand this by making levels procedurally generated? It seems it would be suited to that.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD21 → Oh No, Lava!

Bit too simple for my taste
I like how it shows the power-ups scattered throughout the level before starting. The lava looks more like fire to me.
Interesting. Although yeah, the lava looks more like fire. Despite being simple I find it to be nice enough. Good Job.
I actually found this quite enjoyable for it's simplicity, although it also felt a little too punishing.
The fact that getting killed only lost 1 coin adds a bit of strategy to the mix, in that if you can go to a dead end that gets you at least 2 coins, that is still a net gain. I think with a little more variety, some better level design and slowing moving lava, this could be quite fun.
Also, the approaching wall of doom really did give me a strong feeling of escape.
Simple but complete. Good job. Nothing more to say.
This game is fun, good work!
I think Unity might not be good for 8-bit style graphics.
It suits the theme well.
