Quite fun game! But i didn't like music - it doesn't fit the game. Also, there could have been more items and variety in the game.

Nice little game - I want a faster boat!

gornova 2010-12-20 20:48

Boat is too slow :( and I agree, music doesn't fit too much.
Anyway good idea, make a good scrolling game: maybe some change in gameplay, like adding some weapons after some times can help to keep player in the game :D

I rather liked the music, but you aren't supposed to use assets that you didn't make yourself!
The graphics worked surprisingly well.
Also, it seems like it takes a lot of effort to die.

made the boat faster and some small changes.

I did not realize I was being eaten by the gray squiggles; maybe some sound effects for attacking? I love the gray squiggles, reminded me of aliens in Starflight. Nice job on the color palette and pixelated tiles. For the most part, I think the chiptune sounds are appropriately iconic partners for the images. Instructions also nicely minimalistic. After a while, though, being slowly chased felt repetitive. I guess I wanted something different to do?

I didn't find the game that fun to play, and also a bit slow to be honest. Nice looking game though, and well polished for 48h. I thought the music was ok. But I don't know how people have time to make music for there games as well.

The graphics are a nice reminder of what can be done with low-resolution sprites. Was only fun for a little bit, unfortunately - didn't hold my interest after a couple of levels.

Nice assets,...nice dogs ;D Liked the game!

Very nice! A little slowish and also doesn't offer anything new in latter stages (besides being bigger).
I only vote on the sound effect for Audio, since you are only allowed to use your own assets selfmade during the 48 hours.

Are you Lord Tim?
If no, why are you using characters from his game "Great Dungeon in the Sky"?
If yes, why are you using characters from your game "Great Dungeon in the Sky"?

@Wixmef: Although those graphics were used in Great Dungeon in the Sky, they are from the lo-fi sprite pack by Oryx (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=8970.0) and have been widely used in other indie games.
