nice idea with the grapple, got 760 :D well done
Nice responsive controls, a clever idea and it works well.
I would like to see more visual feedback when an orb blows up and when the player takes damage. Even a very simple effect would do.
It's nice that the player's ship, grapple and orb images were all made to fit together properly.
@sfernald I used BlitzMax (http://www.blitzbasic.com/Products/blitzmax.php). On second thought, i probably should have put that in the readme!

@localcoder I wanted to add a particle system, for explosions etc. But as i did the entire thing in one day i didn't really have time. In the future i'll probably release a post-compo build with a particle system, more orbs and possibly online highscores.

The concept is pretty good, but the mechanic ended up feeling a bit weak because it was rather too easy to just dodge between the orbs. I think it would be better if the orbs were larger in comparison to the width of the playing field.
A solid entry. More variety and difficulty would certainly do wonders. Good job!
@Jonathan I originally intended to have more orb types. Some would have been faster, others would have been larger and moved slower!

@Jonathan If you are avoiding the orbs, you arent grabbing and firing them, so you aren't going to get a very high score! :)
Using the grappling hook is satisfying. It's too bad there isn't more meat to the game.
Before the speed picks up, I think you should give the player a warning.
Challenging and fun. Wish there was a power up or something.
Nice game. I thought the difficulty curve was too low. Took forever to get any sort of challenging. I also thought it would be cool if you had more enemies but had the bullets be more powerful.
