| Oct 20 22:58:37 | THE LAST VIDEO STORE IN TOWN | ♥ 1 | Fun game! It's very complete, the story using and the different mini games is great, although focusing the main gameplay loop would probably have worked as well. The first day should go way slower imo, so you could take a little more time to read and understand what you should be doing. Well done! | |
| Oct 20 23:43:00 | 44m 23s | Vitruvian Machine | ♥ 1 | Fun game! The levels are well built and interesting. Cool idea to follow the advancement of tech. About AI, idk why you use it in your spare time if you already hate it at work already. It's also still possible to never use it at all even at work (unless mandatory in your team), I never use it and it's just fine. |
| Oct 21 00:28:59 | 45m 59s | PIP's Escape | ♥ 2 | Nice game! It's a cool idea. The retro games are fun and well designed. It lacks a bit of focus imo. From a player perspective nothing feels bad or too long, but I think it's going a bit all over the place so it looses the "tight design" feel a bit. From the dev perspective, I think the time you would gain by reducing the scope and focusing on the most important elements would be better used polishing those core things as much as possible. Great work, Congrats! |
| Oct 22 22:30:09 | 46h 01m | GOT IT | ♥ 0 | It's kinda hard to understand what's going on as the timer is pretty short from the start, so reading the card is not really an option. I did kind of get some of the mechanics over time, so I mostly panic drag and dropped things around. Graphics are looking fine overall, the font and color makes it a bit hard to read most of the time, watch out for that. Good work! About audio tho, to me one of the music (at least) is exactly this no ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0egYquy0wBU If it's indeed the case, I don't think it makes sense to rate the music. Also we shouldn't use copyrighted material anyway. |
| Oct 23 20:01:09 | 21h 31m | Answer with Light | ♥ 0 | Really nice game! Using the radio feels good, it's well tuned. It has a strong mood and the little story of evenements is great. Buddy talks a little bit too often imo. I couldn't get past the storm, I've figured that I should be telling him to (spoilers) flash his light red (and be doing the same myself) but I couldn't understand how to get him to do that. Mind to share the solution? |
| Oct 24 02:32:45 | 6h 31m | Mindscape | ♥ 1 | That's very impressive! There is a strong oppressive mood with such simple graphics and nothing happening. Exploring the computer feel tense and engaging somehow. The print mechanic is great, again simple yet very effective. The blue color is very, very hard to read on my screen (or for my eyes). If you are able, a small update that makes it a tad lighter would probably help a bunch of players. I got stuck for a while cause I was entering "waiting" as a command. It's kind of dumb from me tbh, tho I think the keyword highlighted not being the exact command sometimes is not ideal and can probably lead to the same kind of things in other places as well. I had to stop at some point but I'll make sure to come back and finish it. Congrats! |
| Oct 24 18:16:50 | 15h 44m | THE LAST WORD | ♥ 0 | Great game! It's well polished and very complete. It's a cool gameplay loop too. As often with these kinds of game (with tons of text), sometimes it's a little bit hard to tell if a text is meaningful or just here for filling up space but no big deal. Congrats! |
| Oct 24 22:03:46 | 3h 46m | BoilerKeep | ♥ 0 | Nice game! The mood is well done, I really like the view, the lighting and the surroundings. Gamedesign is the weaker part of the game, you went for a lot of options for building stuff but it doesn't seem to be any real need to use one over the other in any given situation. Everything tends to work just as well it seems. Still, well done especially for compo! |
| Oct 25 16:06:46 | 18h 03m | A Portal Home | ♥ 1 | Very nice mood! Finding cassettes for an escape games is a neat take on the theme. Audio is great and sets the tone from the get go. It's way too dark on my screen at least, I get that you wanted the dark atmosphere but the challenge is to make it feels very dark while not being pitch black in lots of places. The text from the cassettes was very slow for me (maybe cause of some lags idk). Good work! |
