Oct 19 22:43:57 Zwillenschuss ♥ 1 The springy physics on the slingshot is very fun and satisfying. It was very hard to hit anything though, the camera control felt a bit off. Might be because I played this on ultrawide though.
Oct 19 22:53:13 9m 16s Rental Breakdown ♥ 2 This is great! Once I understood how to actually rewind it was one of the best experiences I had this LD so far. Great atmosphere, superb visuals (seriously, this looks like its weeks of work not a few days), and of course the cat for the humor stars. A bit stressful but thats the point. 5/5
Oct 19 23:01:00 7m 47s FINGERTRICK ♥ 1 Omg, I love the concept. But I also struggle to understand the controls. Every time I think I understood the game proves me wrong. I think this could work great though because I did fail like I am actually controling a finger skateboard. The controls go in the right direction but are not quite there yet. Anyway, other than that the level and visuals are also outstanding. Very cool
Oct 19 23:08:55 7m 55s fishGrinder ♥ 0 Love the digetic design (very satisfying) and overall visuals. Very atmospheric. I wish there was more to it.
Oct 19 23:21:55 13m 00s DeadLine ♥ 4 Funny, this is very close to my own idea just much darker and more atmospheric, 3D and slower paced (but just as stressful anyway). But it looks great and is very moody. Feels like a much bigger game than I expected. Might as well be a proper, commercial game.
Oct 19 23:47:47 25m 52s Ghost Train ♥ 1 This was way more fun than I expected (I even started a second playthrough lol). I am not a huge fan of the distortion crt fake shader, I think its a bit much in fullscreen, but other than that its a very pleasant experience. Solid balancing also and a lot of fun. I agree that the momentun is great, very satisfying. The movement felt well polished.
Oct 20 15:13:37 15h 25m The Switchboard Operator ♥ 0 Ah a fellow switchboard operator game. This one is not nearly as stressful as my own submission, which I like a lot. I also enjoyed this because it references London, which I visited just last week. Sadly I lost one green plug behind the panel, but I was still able to complete a workweek without issues. Still I guess it would be good to reset the cables over night. Other than that it worked great though and I had no issues figuring out what to connect where. That worked great. Cool game
Oct 20 15:32:29 18m 52s Night Shift ♥ 1 Another switchboard game haha nice, I guess a lot of people had the same idea (myself included) Although you added quite the twist once it became a horror walking sim or whatever that was? (Very cool, and I almost missed that part when I thought it was simply a highscore game) Sadly I did not find any exit. In the level with the golden lever after exiting the first door there were only static doors that were locked or not interactable. Regarding the switchboard section: This was nice and worked well once I figured out that they were telling me where they wanted to connect before actually connecting to them. I think I managed to get all of them right and in time. Clearly this game was not quite done, since its so ambitious thats not surprising. It's basically two different games in one. Very cool concept but not the first horror-twist I've seen on the switchboard-likes.
Oct 20 16:02:36 30m 07s LD60 - Switchboard Hell! ♥ 0 I've played a lot of switchboard games this jam, my own game included. And this one is closest to my own submission (mostly because it's also 2D) so I feel particularly "connected" to this one and downloaded it to play, even without a web version available. And it did work fine. And taking into account that this is your first game this is actually a surprisingly solid submission. Even with sound effects and your own art with a consistent style. Very cool and much better than what my first games looked like! I wouldve liked to be able to turn the book page with a mouse press also and not just keyboard. (The arrow in the corner made it look like that should work but sadly it did not)
Oct 21 21:13:12 29h 10m GEARBOUND ♥ 0 This kind of game never fails to be fun. But what I dont understand is why there are different weapons when I always only ever use one at a time. Shouldt survivor-like games have all of the weapons fire simultaneously? Either way, pretty fun and engaging. The performance was all over the place though. 10fps in one moment and buttery smooth the other for seemingly no reason.
Oct 23 16:21:44 43h 08m Hold the Line ♥ 1 Obviously the wire physics are the star of the show, but everything else is also insanely polished and advanced. I cant believe this was done in less than 3 days, with physics, workday-mechanic with increasing difficulty, main menu, settings and everything. Very complex game - much more than I wouldve expected! Quite impressive. Only thing I would criticize is that I spend most of my time reading the name book and immediatly being overwhelmed by it and the incoming calls and then also struggling to find the right jack because they are numbered with both number and letters but not as I would expect it e.g. with letters left side and numbers on top. Overall though definitely one of the better switchboard-likes :D Maybe the best "realistic" one
Oct 23 21:07:56 4h 46m Floppy Quest ♥ 1 What a lovely game. You guys clearly enjoyed making this a lot. I can practically feel your inspiration and motivation. I enjoyed it a lot and the pace was great up to the tetris part, where I simply wasnt able to figure out how to solve the light puzzle. But I already enjoyed the game up to that point enough to know that this is a great gamejam submission and exactly what I like to see in these jams. It's insane to think that there are 2 more bosses after this. Also from a technical point of view a well-made game with impressive cut scenes and everything. Great job
Oct 24 11:39:39 14h 31m The Last Thaw ♥ 1 A solid game with some outstanding graphics. But the "old tech" really felt more like futuristic tech lol. Quite impressive for a gamejam game.
Oct 24 11:52:04 12m 25s PLEASE DONT SCRAP ME ♥ 0 Wow what a beautiful and smooth game. I really want to play more. Check my robot that crushed them all. chrome_MxebVOaoqy.png I just wish I could change the robot personality on the fly though, because what items I get influence what I want the robot to behave like. In the end I chose the self-aware one and then it was easy. Otherwise great game though. I cant believe this is a gamejam entry. Crazy polished art and interface
Oct 24 15:36:33 3h 44m Snakia ♥ 1 You nailed the visuals. Looks great. A bit annoying that you have to basically double-press the direction you want to go and then also confirm it, but you can get used to it.
