Oct 3 12:46:09 Pack It In ♥ 1 Great game, it obviously perfectly fits the theme and I didn't expect that many levels! The music is a little loud by default but at least we can change it to ~50% easily. :D I thought the game would become repetitive after a while, but it doesn't thanks to the new shapes and new mechanisms. It took me a while to understand we need to _hold_ R to restart, because my brain kinda skipped that word and was like "yeah I need to _press_ R to restart, understood".
Oct 3 14:19:38 1h 33m the ship ♥ 2 The base idea is good and this game could have been much better if polished! Took me a few seconds to understand how to move properly and that there was no "move forward" action, but that's pretty cool and smooth once we get used to it. :D Would have loved more levels, maybe some sound effects, some particles when we move or hit something, and obviously a working game over when we get entirely stuck inside a wall. In some levels, we can actually get stuck then unstuck and still win due to how the walls are moving!
Oct 3 14:58:04 38m 26s textures_failed_to_load ♥ 1 I love incremental games where we unlock parts of the game over time, and the final puzzle was cool, not enough games make us think outside the box! :D Music and sounds are obviously the downside, but for a compo game it's already nice to have some!
Oct 3 19:01:46 4h 03m Escape from the restaurant ♥ 1 It took me a while, but I managed to find all 3 keys. This game obviously has multiple issues: - We can't easily start the game because the mouse is disabled on the main menu. This can be bypassed by alt-tabbing, but not ideal. - We don't know how many keys we have and how many are missing. In my first playthrough, I picked a key by mistake without without realizing it and didn't even know I had it. - The music is not good and doesn't really fit the escape-game theme. - No victory screen, which is a bit anticlimactic, I expected the door to open at least. However, good job on releasing a complete game, especially using Unreal! --- Spoilers, where the keys are: - One key is behind the trapdoor, opened with the button. - One key is on one of the chairs. - One key is on a shelf, behind the table, near the button. /End of spoilers
Oct 5 23:41:01 52h 39m A Barren Land ♥ 0 I agree with everyone else, clicking 100 times per day (50 to select "craft", 50 to select what to craft) is way too tedious! A [+5] button or a shift-click would help a lot. It's pretty sad it ends in a cliffhanger, sometimes it's better to focus on a short but complete experience over a complex but unfinished one. Some basic sound effects for each event (swords sounds when we get raided, human sounds when people join us...?) would also improve the mood a lot!
Oct 5 23:49:46 8m 45s Escape the Closet ♥ 1 I got too scared to finish the game. 10/10.
Oct 6 00:33:15 43m 29s Forest Nothing ♥ 2 Not being able to place farms (or other buildings) under villagers is criminal! As everyone else said, pretty good remake of AoE2. 😄
Oct 6 00:43:40 10m 25s JustPressSpace ♥ 0 Damn, I didn't expect a WarioWare style of game! Too bad there's only 3 minigames, they are pretty fun.
Oct 6 01:01:54 18m 14s BIT Busters : Virus Warfare ♥ 1 I tried to play the game a few times, but I don't really understand what is happening. I close some popups, start a scan then get the victory screen? If I don't close the popups and don't start the scan, I get the blue screen instead. The idea and graphics are good, but it's too early of a prototype to judge the game.
Oct 6 01:07:02 5m 08s BEEmaze (test name) ♥ 0 Why is the bee drunk and walking on ice! ðŸ«
