| Apr 6 21:13:41 | DeckHex | ♥ 2 | Production was fanastic on this. I'm not totally sold on the actual tuning mechanic though. | |
| Apr 6 21:30:27 | 16m 46s | Jupiter Station - v0.5 | ♥ 1 | The core game idea is interesting and there's definitely a lot of potential here. I think as it stands it needs a bit more "juice" to the interactions, so you get a sense of feedback. Also I think there's more that could be done with UI clarity. |
| Apr 6 21:44:46 | 14m 19s | A Ship Out of Time | ♥ 1 | I think the session length might be a bit too long for my tastes. When you're using an unupgraded ship, getting through 3 minutes feels VERY long. Especially when enemies can spawn alongside you and one shot kill you before you can react. I sadly gave up after four attempts. I think if the gameplay loop was shorter and i got to upgrades faster I'd have enjoyed it more. |
| Apr 6 21:51:19 | 6m 33s | Park Lane | ♥ 1 | I cracked up when I realised this was set in a metty station. Newcastle is ripe for horror ambience. Tell Carlo I said hi. |
| Apr 6 22:00:29 | 9m 10s | Turbo Toilet Tomfoolery! | ♥ 1 | Shame you didn't have fun with the event. I had some fun with the game but yeah the controls felt a bit clumsy and I sometimes got stuck on horizontal doors. |
| Apr 11 11:29:47 | 109h 29m | Super Mowser Bros | ♥ 2 | Huge fan of this one of my fav games of the jam I've played so far. Would definitely love to see this developed further. The interface is pretty confusing at first, I did skip the tutorial because I'm not good at remembering a wall of text before getting into a game. Would have preferred in-context tutorial prompts in the game itslef. Only complaint is probably that you needed to tie it to the theme of LD50. If this had end points when you'd completed worlds I think that would be a lot more satisfying than the endless death march. Obviously after playing for a while I got ahead of the economy and could play as long as I wanted but that's to be expected within the limits of a weekend jam. I do hope you consider working on this more, I think there's something really special in the making here. |
| Apr 11 13:32:03 | 2h 02m | U.A.D.S - Untitled Asteroid Defence Simulator | ♥ 0 | Although this is enjoyable I think it could have been a bit more difficult, a bit more pressure to keep a few different plates spinning. This was just a bit too easy to solve and complete. |
| Apr 11 13:39:15 | 7m 12s | Princess: Unwed | ♥ 2 | I think the core of what you're aiming for here is really interesting and quite fresh. However in practice it's all a bit confusing and overwhelming. I know it's tough with a strict gamejam timeline but I think some more gradual onboarding and tutorialising inside the game would make this a lot more playable. |
| Apr 11 18:40:11 | 5h 00m | The Ultimate Martian Roulette | ♥ 3 | Really great game, one of the best of the comp I've played so far. Production all around is really well done. I think my one main criticism is that there's not enough depth to the card mechanics. I think if the card choices offered slightly more complicate risk/reward mechanics there could be all sorts of interesting emergent strategies. |
| Apr 11 21:56:30 | 3h 16m | Before Impact: Meteor Fantasy | ♥ 2 | Although it bothered me a little how close this was to its source material it is in general a fun game. The extra goals do ad interesting twist. |
| Oct 10 22:20:43 | 4368h 24m | Aeldun 20.000 | ♥ 2 | I enjoyed this, it felt more like the beginning of a cool strategy game than the full thing but I definitel liked the direction. |
