| Apr 5 19:02:43 | The Root of All Evil | ♥ 1 | Cool innovative mechanic. I liked the combination of platformer and flamethrower mechanics with the simulation of the blocks. Kinda like terraria. | |
| Apr 5 20:05:23 | 1h 02m | Heavy is thy Cart | ♥ 0 | The graphics are really cool. Like the cardboard 2-tone look and the feeling of moving through a hand drawn maze. The gameplay is pretty inventive, I was impressed with the kind of puzzle-maze mechanic and how uncovering the route is done. |
| Apr 5 20:12:36 | 7m 13s | Desert trip | ♥ 0 | I'm afraid it wouldn't run properly on my laptop. possibly too heavy |
| Apr 5 21:25:00 | 1h 12m | Lovely village | ♥ 1 | The graphics are nice. The gameplay is addictive, I couldn't stop myself playing and had to finish it! I don't think there was an actual ending but after 30 mins or so and with everything fully upgraded I couldn't afford enough guys in a turn to overwhelm the goblins so they slowly got less and less. I like how there is a buying phase and battle phase and it feels nice to watch the camera transition to the battlefield at the end of each turn. nice job! |
| Apr 5 21:39:57 | 14m 57s | Pickle-Pocalypse | ♥ 1 | Very fun game! Love the voice work "yer not picklin me!" Weapons changing is cool, and the graphics are crisp and wacky. Nice to have the music too, even if it was simple, but that's all it needed. In the end the zombie pickles teamed up by creating a barricade with the items and bum-rushed me! Very funny :) Screenshot 2022-04-05 223520.png |
| Apr 5 21:48:40 | 8m 43s | Sir Blackmoon's Nightmare | ♥ 1 | Amazing job getting the graphics to look so crisp. I love that look. Any tips on how to configure unity to look like that? |
| Apr 5 21:51:56 | 3m 16s | Plague Fail | ♥ 2 | The game sounds good but unfortunately the image is broken and the file is too large for me to download without something to look at first. Can you upload a screenshot? |
| Apr 5 22:13:44 | 21m 48s | A Dank Cave | ♥ 2 | Wow! these graphics are beautiful! For ascii art it doesn't feel like it, it feels like actual textures, and they're perfectly crisp. I really love the torch flickering effect, it makes the world come alive. The little crab and wood icons are cute too. Moving around felt really responsive and after a few tentative seconds I was flying around picking up items and lighting the place up. Felt really good. I couldn't quite figure out how to use the walls properly though, not sure if they blocked the water or not. Dodging the crabs was maybe a biit frustrating too, made me die unexpectly every time so I'd rather not go any where near them unless i had a weapon or something. I wish there were more games like this! awesome work. |
| Apr 5 22:41:57 | 28m 13s | DOWN the DUNGEON | ♥ 5 | Everything the guy above me said. It is such a good spin on bullet hell/twin stick shooter. So many aspects of the design are satisfying, eg the first level 'tutorial' is perfect, the way you are kinda loooting powerups, they automatically apply (so you don't miss them and get frustrated) and they stack - all very satisfying. The interpretation of the theme is bang on. I didn't think this theme could be done well but this actually benefits from it. I really like that you are trying to avoid falling to the next level not because it will mean game over but because the longer you delay, the more powerups you can collect. really cool mechanic as it challenges you to hold out as long as you can but when it's all too much you can just say screw it and hop down the hole! Serves the double purpose of moving forward which you inevitbly must do and also escaping from a hot situation. Only nitpick is just bug related where enemies/projectiles sticking around sometimes when you transition floors. Awesome work. |
