| Apr 27 00:10:54 | Deep Dark Discoveries | ♥ 2 | Really nice mood in the game. I enjoyed the sound effects and the overall feeling of discovery going down the shaft. I was very surprised at how "meaty" the inertia and controls were for the drone (not a bad thing, I liked it), and it really required accurate steering. I didn't get to reach the "end" (not sure if there is one), so I don't know if I missed something but I made it to 1200m-something depth. It would've been nicer if there were maybe more enemies or things to interact with, but in a 48 hours game compo this was really good, nice one! | |
| Apr 27 01:23:34 | 1h 12m | Doomino's Pizza | ♥ 2 | Really cute game, I liked the humor and the style. There's a lot of variety to the levels and I appreciate the skip button, because I found some of them to be a bit too challenging/frustrating to complete. I think there's a couple of things that stand out a bit though. Having to deal with the level restart + dialogue every time you die gets a bit frustrating, and also instantly dying for touching spikes or falling into pits (rather than just losing one life) can be a bit too unforgiving. Still, I think the various hints around the game on how to approach challenges were absolutely peak game design, 10/10 |
| Apr 27 01:29:56 | 6m 22s | Eva Power Plug Nap | ♥ 2 | Bonus points for Evangelion, but I have to say that the controls really messed with my brain sometimes. |
| Apr 27 01:41:47 | 11m 51s | Search for the Undergem | ♥ 1 | Really nice game, I liked the gameplay dynamics and it actually kept me hooked with trying to get upgrades for longer than I'd like to admit lol |
| Apr 27 05:01:19 | 3h 19m | Chess Hellevator | ♥ 1 | I absolutely love the concept of this game, the puzzle elements are super fun. One of the best games I've played so far, great job. |
| Apr 27 12:07:38 | 7h 06m | Reminiscence | ♥ 1 | I really liked the mood of the game, the sound design also is really solid. A few things to mentions though: * It seems to have AZERTY controls, which makes it very awkward/impossible to move around and also interact with the mouse comfortably * In the first level there is a fire with positional sound that seems to go from left to right speaker with no gradation/transition which stands out quite a bit compared to the rest of the game's audio * I could not get past the third level (the one where you get the torch) because I couldn't figure out what to do unfortunately (but that might be just me being dumb) * It would've been nicer if the sprite could have moved a bit faster, but I understand that might have been a specific game design decision (for the mood). It's just a bit uncomfortable to backtrack to check if you have missed something or not |
| Apr 27 12:42:25 | 34m 47s | Dome Romantik | ♥ 1 | Absolutely loved this game, probably the best one I've played so far. Amazing mood, good sound effects and music, the gameplay loop is really tight and well fine-tuned (although the drill upgrades were a bit merciless, but maybe I had a bad RNG spawn of resources). Managed to clear it until the end and it was a treat. 10/10 game for me |
| Apr 27 12:47:51 | 5m 26s | Captain Zapdash | ♥ 1 | Absolutely A for Cool |
| Apr 27 13:56:42 | 1h 08m | Blackout | ♥ 7 | Really great game, lots of polish and I love point and click adventures. The story was very charming (although I'm not 100% sure I get the ending), the only downside (and this is a VERY small one) is that you cannot skip dialogues, which makes hunting for clues a bit trickier. But still, an incredibly solid entry. |
| Apr 28 14:06:50 | 24h 10m | CAELUM CORE | ♥ 5 | I had a hard time moving the character, and I noticed that on 144hz displays the game is pretty much unplayable as the game time seems to be tied to the framerate rather than a constant delta (I think?). It was hard to figure out what was going on with the character going through walls and often dying for seemingly no reason. Still, I love the artstyle, mood, and soundtrack. |
