| Apr 26 09:07:57 | Bunny Box Breakout | ♥ 1 | It's more a reflex game about quick pattern recognition than a puzzle game. Once I understood what the game was about it was fun to play a few rounds. Stacking the plates was a cool take on the theme. Game would've really benefited from some kind of driving soundtrack. Biggest issue I had was feedback of my performance - was I doing bad, was I doing good? Hard to figure out on the spot. I like that even though the game has simple mechanics there are different strategies to try out. In general taking the extra time to solve entire lines seemed worth it to me, but always queueing up short matches to stop the camera from moving worked out in panic moments aswell. | |
| Apr 26 09:23:49 | 15m 52s | Depths | ♥ 1 | Nice soundtrack. Nice mood. I wish there would've been a bit more of it. I think there is a place for non-games in jams and when this one just picked up it already ended. |
| Apr 26 09:28:39 | 4m 50s | Cat Sweeper | ♥ 3 | Hello fellow minesweeper friend. o/ I really liked your take on the theme - not being able to go up, was an interesting twist turning the formula upside down. ~~Unfortunately I think something about the grid-logic is bugged, as I kept getting reset even though I was traversing from "0" tiles downwards. (which should mean I'd be safe from mines, right?)~~ I was moving into the 0s like a FOOOL A depthmeter would be really nice though, to see how far you've made it. |
| Apr 26 09:40:19 | 11m 40s | Underblood | ♥ 0 | Wow, cool game. Very on theme and besides the nice audiovisuals I really like your level design - the way you handled difficulty really inspires trying again, because knowing whats around the next corner makes so much of a difference. |
| Apr 26 09:55:09 | 14m 50s | Goldf | ♥ 1 | I think this is my favorite game yet. Even though its LOADED with jank. I had to refresh the page after basically every second level - kudos for coming up with the saving system to circumvent that problem though! Very nice atmosphere with the visuals, music and especially the ambience sounds. The mechanics are super fun - although I wish my dude wouldn't bump into the ball and be in it's way all the time. Some tricky spots, where the ball get's stuck and you have to try to lump it out midjump come way to early though. Technically this is an interesting mix - the game has procedural levels, which aren't easy to do - especially like this, but also some things which seem to be founded in a lack of experience as a Unity developer. :D |
| Apr 26 10:06:12 | 11m 03s | Fish Loop | ♥ 1 | Yooo, this game really needs some kind of soundtrack. I stopped it midway and put a tune into the background and it immediately felt better. The graphics were clearly your focus and they turned out good. I think it could've been a more fleshed out game if you went for a Physics velocity approach for the fish movement and made it a bit less forgiving if you bump into walls and stuff. |
| Apr 26 10:13:47 | 7m 35s | LD48 - Pick and Slimes | ♥ 0 | For a game there's little here, besides the two main mechanics of movement and pick throwing, which were tuned nicely. Movement felt tight and responsive and I dig the *one bullet* approach to the pickaxe. Sadly there's little incentive to actually fight the slimes - which leads to a game of running around very big levels to find the next set of stairs, without much danger or reason to engange with the combat. |
| Apr 26 10:26:46 | 12m 59s | Bunny Bunny Dig Dig | ♥ 1 | Insane polish for a compo game. Very nice visuals and the soundtrack had me banging. I think the game is held back a bit by the interactions being a bit to simple. Digging is fun - combat is mostly waiting for pretty obvious openings <- which is fine but combat needs to happen fewer inbetween, be more impactful (like showering you in loot) or have way more variety earlier on. Because it takes so much more time than to simply mine. Yeah, I think as a *game* and not as a product of a jam it needs an additional balance pass on the main mechanics. But as a compo entry this is done extremly well and impressive. |
