| Apr 20 17:07:21 | 50 Shades of Pray | ♥ 2 | Pretty funny game. The art and soundtrack were really charming, reminded me of a mobile game called Polytopia. The sound effects were also pretty nice and fit with the games tone. The character customization is cool, but I wish it had a proper color selector rather than just a select few colors. As for the gameplay, there should really be some kinda of indicator for when you're able to convert people. Also, I think it would be better if the game used the WASD keys for movement rather than using mouse clicks. IMO it feels really stiff and difficult to use. | |
| Apr 20 17:46:43 | 39m 22s | CAMPFIRE | ♥ 1 | Visually, the game is really good. The models have a really nice polygonal style, and the particles add a really nice visual flair to the campfire. The gameplay, on the other hand, is very confusing. It was really hard to tell if adding a logs and stoking the fire even did anything. It felt doing those two things barely did anything to the fire, and the game did really explain very well exactly how and when I am supposed to use logs or to stoke the fire. It also didn't help that the fire takes a long time to burn out, which makes the already ineffective logs and stoking feel even more ineffective. I also have a couple of nitpicks with the UI. It's really strange how the time indicator does not actually show the in-game minutes despite having number slots that suggest it does. Also, it was a tad hard to tell at first when I could add more logs or stoke the fire as the buttons don't really grey out, but instead seem to gain a grey background behind theme. |
| Apr 21 20:26:52 | 26h 40m | 🍄 Saki 🍄 | ♥ 1 | SUPER EUROBEAT MIX Vol. 4 - YouTube - Brave 4_21_2020 1_10_10 PM.png Surprisingly fun game, admittedly reminded me a bit of FNAF with the screen switching mechanics. I think the "combat" could use some reworking, though. While spam clicking the mouse isn't so bad on weaker enemies, it gets very exhausting real quick when dealing with the more damage spongy shrooms that start spawning after a while. I think there should also be some kind of indicator for where the mushrooms are coming from. Maybe you could use spatial sound so that people could figure out where the mushrooms are based on where the sound they emit is coming from? |
| Apr 30 02:21:42 | 197h 54m | This Website Will Self-destruct (dot) com | ♥ 1 | Very unique and clever submission. Only real criticism I can think of is the rotation, which imo looks absolutely atrocious. |
| Apr 30 02:48:04 | 26m 22s | LifeLine - Music Pattern Obstacle Dodge | ♥ 1 | Really interesting idea, but I think it could use some reworking. It took a really long time for me to realize that the notes I was collecting was generating a song, and that the yellow spikes represented those notes. The difficulty is also pretty wack. Dodging the spikes and collecting the notes becomes impossible pretty quick since they end up moving at such a fast speed. At the same time, however, dying is still really hard. Since the speed gets slowed down and the amount of objects gets reduced as your "health" drops, that means that even if you do get down to low "health", it gets really easy to build it back up again. |
