| Apr 29 03:40:26 | Interesting Times | ♥ 1 | It's a unique concept, using a variety of objects and characters to remember things about your life, and something I haven't seen anything quite like before. The small town and simple locations combine with the commonplace stories to give it a quaint feel, which sets the mood and tone well, and the simple writing also fits. Even just as a small demo, it is interesting and allows you to quickly play through the entire game - even though the puzzles are simple and limited to examining every object then picking the most logical options, it doesn't feel like a chore, as I was playing for the story. My only query is about the theme: it feels like it would have belonged more if 'limited memory' had won. How does this relate to currency? | |
| Apr 29 04:28:56 | 48m 30s | Ghosted | ♥ 2 | Being stuck inside a computer is a unique theme that I found well-represented in the art and music. The gameplay would be repetitive if the game was much longer, so I found the length to be perfect. Even so, a few extra mechanics would be interesting: for example, have the enemies come from both sides of the screen and use two different buttons to attack on either side. |
| Apr 29 04:49:40 | 20m 44s | Transfusion | ♥ 2 | The music was incredible and the simple colouring but clear art was easy to keep track of when solving puzzles. The concept is simple and easy to learn, but the control scheme is a bit finicky. I would have preferred that, when transfusing, the two animals morph into one, and then they can split apart later, rather than having to pick the other body up, carry it across, put it down, and transfuse back. Puzzles have a good difficulty curve, but they all have a pretty logical sequence of moves. Overall, an decent and enjoyable game. |
| Apr 29 05:05:16 | 15m 36s | Designated Victim | ♥ 1 | Very enjoyable experience, great music, theme, and a really innovative concept to match. The controls felt tight and only having to use WASD and the mouse helped out a lot. I'd only question the usefulness of the terminal shops - for the earlier rooms, I would just ignore them all, and use the large amounts of time to carefully dodge things instead of swapping polarities. |
| Apr 29 05:14:58 | 9m 42s | Prospector Stanley | ♥ 3 | I love the fluidity and exaggeration of the animations. Combined with the upbeatness of the music, it really sets the mood. I only wish you could expand the mine more, and purchase a larger variety of objects - as it stands, there is little that sets it apart from other clicker games. Regardless, it had a strong sense of theme, and the voice acting, although amateur, was engaging and humorous - especially "MIIIIIINECART!". |
| Apr 29 05:29:28 | 14m 30s | Let's make really bad life decisions... | ♥ 1 | Interesting (and incredible unique) puzzle concept that fits the theme very well. Learning how to control the giant spinning coin and then using it to try to reach the door is engaging. My only issue is that I would suddenly stop moving left or right, and have to jump then press the key in midair to begin again. |
| Apr 29 05:36:52 | 7m 24s | Cult Master | ♥ 1 | Dragging each of the tiny little cultists on top of the altar indeed felt satisfying, but also incredibly comedic, and I enjoyed the struggle to click on them before they ran past. Interesting take on the theme. My only critisism is that the game feels a little too easy - I would just drag each of them up there to gain enough money, and as I was running out of food click that button a few times. If it's meant to be an idle game, I understand, but then why the lose condition? |
| Apr 29 07:04:04 | 1h 27m | Worth a Coin | ♥ 2 | The game plays well with tight controls and an interesting and varied map, especially with the extra collectibles to keep the difficulty high. The art is consistently high-quality and the music is fitting. Interesting take on the theme, and excellently drawn game over screens. Congratulations. |
| Apr 29 07:13:52 | 9m 48s | Bet Your Life | ♥ 2 | Intriguing concept to maximize your lives while still being safe. The art is really cool, but the different styles between the levels and in-between text screens feels a little jarring. The platforming itself feels tight and satisfying. I'm not sure if there was any music, but it wasn't playing for me. It'd be nice if you could see each of the levels when you have to make your bet, rather than just seeing a par, as each player will find different things difficult. Overall, quite a cute and enjoyable game. |
| Apr 30 08:46:13 | 25h 32m | Band of Brothers | ♥ 1 | A very interesting concept. The real time strategy is a bit difficult to adapt to at first, and I was looking for a pause button. However, the art is excellent and the music (despite not being yours) was also fitting. Eventually, you got into a stride, and it became very comfortable to run the band, making it more fun. Well done. |
