The story was great, the 1bit art was fantastic (seriously, I do a lot of pixel art and I'm really jealous of this art style), the music was simultaneously whimsical and menacing, and it was all wrapped up in a nice neat little bow. I really wanted to be able to follow up with new leads with other folks, i.e. go talk to the couple arguing again after I talked to the woman at the mansion about her "what's a life worth" weirdness. I *think* I beat the game successfully but I was left unsure at the end because it didn't actually tell me if I got the q's right or not. I really like that framing of the end of a mystery, though, with the "oh yeah you solved it? answer these questions then." it worked well. |

It reminded me of a game whose name I can't quite remember... but you recruit your party from a bar and go as far as you can into the dungeon with it, and when you're back you can upgrade your bar and get better party members. Anyway, this was impressive! |
