| May 1 11:03:34 | Mr Moneybag | ♥ 1 | Another great entry. Interesting mechanic with a well executed, minimalist interface and stylish design! You are an inspiration sir. Just have to mention that it would be great with sounds! Even some beeps and boops made with sfxr would add a lot to it imo. | |
| May 1 11:56:34 | 53m 00s | Boogie Till You Die | ♥ 1 | Audio and graphics are great in this one - but I couldn't figure out what the end goal was? I killed all the guys, does that mean I win? :) |
| May 1 18:12:01 | 6h 15m | Taco King | ♥ 2 | Really impressive that you managed to make 3 mini games with such good polish all round! And the story hit me right in the feels. Great entry. |
| May 1 19:32:29 | 1h 20m | Lousy Life Lessons - [LLL] | ♥ 2 | Awesome story, awesome cutscenes, awesome music/voice acting. Character animations were great. I felt like the gameplay was a bit fiddly with regards to controls (or maybe I'm just not skilled enough). Not sure exactly what it was, but it felt more difficult than it should be. |
| May 2 19:09:51 | 23h 37m | Goblin Launcher | ♥ 4 | Great entry, could do with some tweaks on controls and enemy spawns as described by other reviews. Gave me some nostalgic feelings, reminded me of old 90s/early 2000s pc games (maybe the audio had something to do with that) With a bit of work I could see this becoming an addictive physics-based mobile game :) Bonus mood points for the king threatening me at the start! |
| May 2 19:36:32 | 26m 41s | Force of Nature | ♥ 3 | This was great, i loved the mechanic of using your health, and the theme of being a huge treant guardian of the grove! Stomping on little goblins was so satisfying and watching them chop down my trees filled me with wrath!! I agree with a lot of the other reviewers that things could've been made a bit clearer to the player somehow. I only briefly scanned the instructions screen (as most players will) so it took me a while to figure some things out. Is RMB to move mentioned somewhere? If so I never noticed it. What is the purpose of planting trees, to obstruct the enemies? Great entry overall. |
| May 2 20:03:56 | 27m 24s | With It Or On It | ♥ 3 | Honestly the best looking game I've seen this jam, even the itch page looks amazing. The audio, the dust, even the title - every little detail leaves a great impression. Gameplay is a little simplistic, but that's to be expected from a jam. (I was looking forward to multiple attacks for "Stab, hit, slam and bash" :) ) It wasn't quite clear how getting wounded effected me? Gameplay seemed the same throughout. |
| May 3 18:44:14 | 22h 40m | PathOfForest | ♥ 2 | Nice game, like the theme and I think with a bit of polish it could be great. Main feedback I can give is that you need to make it more intuitive to play. It took me a while to figure out how it worked, and even when I did I found the controls unintuitive, I had to keep looking back to remind myself what did what. A way to cancel orders would be nice maybe, and maybe lanes or something to prevent the inevitable clump of chaos that arises in the centre lol. But despite these issues I did play it for quite a while, and had fun! nice entry. |
| May 3 19:07:26 | 23m 12s | 300 Hearts for Escape | ♥ 1 | Great entry, I had fun :) Liked the minimalist tutorial at the start, gets the point across and not that much of a drag to play through each time. Much nostalgia for old games like carmen sandiego on my dad's 386 :) |
| May 3 19:21:30 | 14m 04s | BloodBath | ♥ 0 | Great game, it was fun, and the balance felt just right. I felt like I had to think about every spell that I cast. And the right clicking to cycle through spells, while a bit clunky, actually added a bit to the "spellcaster" feel, I think. After playing a few rounds I got a feel for how many clicks it took to cycle to the spell I wanted, and it made me feel like a badass blood mage. None of the spells felt unnecessary, they all have their place. Great design. If you worked more on this I would totally spend a few dollars for it on steam. |
| May 3 19:41:51 | 20m 21s | Courage, My Knight | ♥ 1 | Not usually a fan of story-driven games but enjoyed this one :) What a fun experience, tidy little slice of fun perfectly scoped for a compo. Like anyone who's ever taken part in LD, I can identify with the feeling of not quite finishing :) but it was still a joy to play! thanks for this! |
| May 4 15:56:19 | 20h 14m | UnderBreak | ♥ 1 | Goes without saying the art amazing, love the combo of low poly and pixel art. I managed to escape hell! I thought that was a clever twist. Gameplay wise: It felt a bit fiddly - I think for a shooter like this its very important to make the player feel like he has precise control over exactly where he's shooting, and where he should aim. I wasn't sure why I was missing enemies sometimes, and I wasn't exactly sure where the bounds of my hitbox were. Good job :) |
