May 2 17:04:36 Life Hunter ♥ 1 **THE GOOD** Very fun and addicting core loop. Graphics were polished and sound effects and music fit with the atmosphere. The capture mechanic was fluid. Was consistently challenging and balanced. **THE BAD** Being stuck in shrubs and rocks didn't feel right. It didn't feel like the game punishing you but rather the physics engine, if you know what I mean. Overall, this is a very good submission and a job well done.
May 2 17:31:55 27m 19s 60 Second Supermarket Sweep ♥ 0 **THE GOOD** The graphics are pretty good and they fit the gameplay. Level destruction was a good touch. **THE BAD** The speed upgrade was a necessity to play, otherwise the player is way too slow. The old ladies that stopped you when you bumped into them were a little bit annoying as they took control away from the player. The movement felt a little bit buggy at times (felt like I was slowed down for some time until I moved around in a certain way and gained back speed). Some items were obscured behind shelves and the main entrance wall had clipping issues, making it difficult to see inside if close to the entrance wall. **THE NEUTRAL** I am unsure about the music. On one hand, it has an Indian touch to it, but then how does it fit in a supermarket setting? Perhaps something more calm, elevator vibe might have been better. Overall, good entry but requires a lot of adjustments, bug fixes and balancing.
May 2 21:31:01 3h 59m Bloodmoon Season ♥ 1 **THE GOOD** I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the level design. The amount of work put into the animations, models and textures was superb. The mood was set from the start and did not disappoint, kept me on my toes. I enjoyed the variety of weapons. **NEEDS WORK** Audio felt half-complete. With a simple ambiance track in the background (howling wind, rain or whatever) almost feels necessary to create an eerie feeling in a game like this. There were some bugs with the weapons that required me to switch a few times. Overall, very well done for a jam. Lighting was fantastic and the core game loop was fun.
May 2 21:45:47 14m 46s The Boxer's Pact: Fausts of Fury ♥ 1 **THE GOOD** The concept is great. Game loop is simple and easy to understand. Controls are comfortable. The training mode was very useful to learn how the game works (I love how the exit sign is the exit button, nice touch). **NEEDS WORK** The upgrades felt a bit strange and a little unnecessary, more like an afterthought than an integrated part of the gameplay. Sound effects were decent but the music felt a bit out of place (I can see what you were trying to go for, but I don't think it worked out). The blocking feedback was strange, took me a while to realize that the block is displayed above the person who is attacking, not the person who is attacked. Some decals (people in the crowd) felt out of place as well as they looked more realistic than the fighters. Overall, impressive entry for a jam game. Good work!
May 6 13:42:25 87h 56m Souls Store ♥ 2 **THE GOOD** The graphics are very good for a jam game with nice animations. The background level was well-put together and the soundtrack was pleasant to listen to, even though it didn't feel perfect for the game. **NEEDS WORK** I had no idea what was going on, or what I was supposed to do. The instructions are unclear and the translation is confusing. What was the point of hearts? Why should I care if a person runs out of hearts? I always picked the option that gave me the best reputation but lost. It is clear that you know what you are doing in Unity, but I would suggest you focus on your strengths and make a game that does not require such extensive use of English, or make it very clear what the player is supposed to be doing.
May 6 14:45:46 1h 03m Document Shrederer ♥ 2 **THE GOOD** The atmosphere was consistent with clean visuals. The gameplay idea was solid and easy to pick up without any instructions. **NEEDS WORK** The game is very difficult from the beginning, and not in a good way: the character moves way too slowly and is unable to dodge incoming projectiles. The attack speed is a bit strange too, seemingly going on cooldown for no reason without any feedback. Very frustrating to play in the beginning. Overall, pretty basic concept with consistent visuals. Balancing definitely needs work. I suggest you adjust the values so that people playing it can actually enjoy it from the start.
May 6 15:22:55 37m 09s Blood Type Z ♥ 1 **THE GOOD** The art style is consistent and the main character clearly had a lot of work put into it, despite the placeholders. Sound was good enough for a jam game and the gameplay was straightforward. **NEEDS WORK** Obviously, the placeholders looked way out of place and definitely didn't help the experience. That aside, the physics engine was probably the biggest problem I noticed - jumping felt a bit strange, I was bouncing around and didn't have the control I wanted to have over the character. The game feels mostly complete and fun to play, despite the placeholder sprites.
May 15 12:51:09 213h 28m D.R.I.E.D. ♥ 1 Exceptionally well-done! Reminds me of FTL without the battles. I wish you had another person to work on some sort of battle minigame, but I wasn't disappointed. Very fun game!
May 15 13:12:31 21m 22s README.btc ♥ 0 I wanted to download and try it out but the Windows download does not work for me. The drive folder opens but I am unable to download the files.
May 15 14:25:45 1h 13m Servant to the Reaper ♥ 0 Hilarious, I loved it! It feels like killing takes a bit too long and leaving the shop should use the ESCAPE key, not E. Not sure how to get health back either, might be worth considering as a shop upgrade. These did not affect my score of your game because proper gameplay balancing is not possible for a jam without blind luck. Good work!
