| Aug 1 14:11:37 | Bots Forest | ♥ 2 | Awesome job on your first LD! I hope you had a lot of fun! You made a neat little game, I like the environment art a lot (especially the trees!) and shooting enemies feels pretty good. My favorite part about this game is how you can level a treeline, that just feels super good for some reason! I didn't encounter any bugs, so good work on that, though I found myself hoping that there would be more enemy types, though it's no biggie that there aren't. My only real criticism is that I'm not sure how the theme plays into the game at all, but maybe I'm missing something? Other then that, great work, especially since it's your first Ludum! | |
| Aug 1 14:35:25 | 23m 48s | Escape Velocity | ♥ 2 | Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare game! I really like this one, it's a unique idea that I haven't really seen before. I loved the art and sounds, and it was tricky learning how to most effectively juggle the batteries. The only problem I had was that the character would sometimes flicker back and forth, making some platforming hard, but other then that it was great. Hope to see you again for the next Ludum Dare, and I'll keep an eye on this game to see if you release any more versions! |
| Aug 1 15:09:56 | 34m 31s | Star Hopper: Crank | ♥ 2 | Liking this one a lot! It's like a rather unique take on the clicker genre! (cranker genre? huehue) It feels good to start adding parts on to your ship and making the whole ore-collection process faster. I like the art, the game looks rather nice. It took me a few minutes to figure out what I needed to do, but once I did it felt pretty natural. I'm actually leaving the game running while I write this review, to see how much I can add. Great job, I'd love to see this game taken even further! |
| Aug 1 15:34:56 | 25m 00s | !SMARTBOTS | ♥ 1 | I really like this one, though it is really hard! The idea is great and the execution is well done! I haven't won yet, but I'm going to keep trying because automating these little bots is a lot of fun. I haven't encountered any real game breaking bugs (other then power crystals being pushed through walls) and overall it's a great experience. I'd really REALLY love to see this idea made into a full game, automation in games really interests me and this game gives me a sort of factorio vibe. Awesome, just awesome work on this, excited to see what you create next LD, keep up the great work! |
| Aug 1 15:59:23 | 24m 27s | Artax | ♥ 6 | Simply fantastic work on this one. The graphics are cute and stylish, the robot is lovely, and the controls feel good. The whistle is adorable, and the music is decent. Seriously awesome work with this one, can't believe a game with this much polish came out of a jam. Hope to see your work again for the next LD! |
| Aug 1 19:24:22 | 3h 24m | President of Zorga | ♥ 1 | Whoop, left a comment already but the site ate it. Oh well, I'll try this again. I loved this game! I like clicker games in general, and this one is a nice hectic experience. I only got to year ten before the emails and populace decided that maybe, just maybe, I wasn't all that great. Overall, I loved this! I really like the humor and character that this game has. Excited to see what you do for the next LD. |
| Aug 1 19:34:25 | 10m 03s | Run'n Score | ♥ 2 | Congrats on your first Ludum Dare! This is a fun little runner, I like the art and it feels good to control. The mystery barrels are a nice touch! I wish that there could be some more dangers, like bouncing gears or something to that effect, but other then that awesome job, especially for a first LD. Hope to see you again next LD, will keep an eye out! |
| Aug 1 21:51:36 | 2h 17m | Driving home | ♥ 0 | This was amazing! Seriously fantastic work. The artstyle is so cutesy and it really brings me back to my childhood. |
| Aug 2 01:24:59 | 3h 33m | To Be Determined | ♥ 2 | Good job on your first attempt at a unity game! With regards to the game, I like the concepts but everything happens so _fast_. I ran out of power the first time I opened the game in around five-six seconds, and I didn't have time to orient myself. And everything else drains really fast too, so it might be some sort of frame dependency thing? The Oxygen meter drains in under a second, so I have to keep that on because the moment I toggle it it's game over. I feel like I'm doing something wrong, but I'm not sure. Aside from the speed, I like the features you have implemented, and I like the visuals. Toggling switches is fun and opening the little covers is good too. I guess that because everything drains in seconds I don't have time to really get a handle on what I need to do. Maybe an easy mode? Great work though! Game jams are tough as it is, and I think with an even more limited time on your end you did a good job, _especially_ while learning a new engine. Hope to see you again for the next LD, I'm excited to see how you'll apply the things you've learnt! |
| Aug 2 01:29:59 | 5m 00s | Argon | ♥ 1 | Awesome work on this game! It felt smooth and fun to play, though it would get hectic after a little while! I especially like how you could bounce the red fireballs away from you, that was a lot of fun to try and aim! I think that some more types of enemies could be good, but as it stands it's a solid LD entree, great work, hope to see you again for the next LD! |
| Aug 2 05:31:47 | 4h 01m | Last Train Out | ♥ 3 | I really like this one! You got a lot done during the jam, I love the art and feel of the game. Managing the wheels is a lot of fun, it's hard to not fall of the train! Great work, hope to see you in the next LD! |
| Aug 2 06:07:44 | 35m 57s | Escape from Solar Sea Fortress | ♥ 1 | Awesome work on this one! I've always loved little first person puzzlers, this game reminded me of Riven in a nice way! The graphics in this were top notch, some of the best I've seen in a jam ever! As others have said, I had some issues with the batteries, but it didn't take me long to get the hang of how to hold them. Hope to see you in the next LD, this is some crazy good stuff. |
| Aug 3 00:38:35 | 18h 30m | air mail | ♥ 0 | I think this might be my favorite game of this jam so far! The style is just absolutely lovely, flying the plane was a lot of fun and I wish that the game was a little longer! Absolutely amazing work, I hope to see you again for the next LD if this is the stuff that you're putting out! 10/10 would fly again |
| Aug 3 01:21:00 | 42m 25s | Unit S-2 | ♥ 1 | This was a fun little game, you did a good job implementing all the features that you did! Like others have said, the enemies don't really pose a threat, but the stealth mechanics were still fun. Great work overall, the difficulty curve was pretty good. |
| Aug 3 01:54:08 | 33m 08s | B:/ Connected | ♥ 0 | This was a really neat little game, great concept! The ending is really depressing, but the mood is set super well! I wish it could have been longer, but other then that, awesome work! |
| Aug 5 18:53:50 | 64h 59m | Enceladus Explorer | ♥ 2 | This is a neat little game! I absolutely loved the robot's design and the way it moved! Exploring the caves was pretty fun with the movement system, though I wish that there were some more flora and fauna in the caves. All in all, great work! |
