Dec 8 00:41:00 Attack of the Sodas! I found the Easter egg! :D
Dec 8 13:51:00 13h 10m Life of a Geek Neat game! There seems to be a fair bit in common between your game and mine :D
Dec 8 14:01:00 10m 00s S Neat concept, I like it, it's somewhat prone to random chance and luck tho. As an aside, I would appreciate being able to zoom in. <br/> <br/>The art is neat, as is the music. Overall a good game.
Dec 8 14:11:00 10m 00s War in VR World Oooo! An RTS! I can appreciate the fact that the cost of things is at least within the same ballpark as the resources you collect. Tweaking it will obviously require play-testing - which requires time we don't have in Ludum Dare. Usually people shy away from games like this, so I can appreciate it when devs actually attempt it, and come out ahead.
Dec 8 14:16:00 5m 00s The Fast and the Flatulent I've been following your updates in the news feed and been looking forward to playing this! You did not disappoint! This is... HARD! And yet I want to play more! :D
Dec 8 14:34:00 18m 00s Don't Touch The Light Neat concept, I like it. Needs an indicator at the start to tell you that you should start moving in a direction - I didn't actually know what to do. Also I found a bug in one of the levels: http://ss13.eu/dump/laptop/2014-12-08/2014-12-08_15-32-39.png
Dec 8 15:14:00 40m 00s Man on the Field One of the best games I have played so far! Reminds me of "Papers, please" and "Cook, serve, delicious". <br/> <br/>The feeling when the intake of soldiers slows down, and you know perfectly fine that it's because they are all dead... because of you... Wow... Anyway, absolutely awesome. Hope to see this developed further into a retail product.
Dec 8 17:20:00 2h 06m CUBE Clicker Okay.... OOOKAAY... No. I took therapy, I will NOT click the cube. I... will NOT... click.... click... click................................. click... D: <br/> <br/>Help D: <br/> <br/>Anyway, I work at a lab for computer graphics, and all of us... every single one of us who work here, were gathered around a computer, playing CUBE CLICKER. You, sir, are responsible for stopping ground breaking research at a university graphics lab for half an hour... :D <br/> <br/>Still! I found a bug. The tooltip for extractors shows the number of spheres.
Dec 8 18:10:00 50m 00s Super TransGalactian Hyper-Billiards 2014 Neat game, however my experience was hindered by the web page moving when I pressed the arrow keys or space. The easiest, most painless solution that I can suggest (however by far not the best solution) is that you set the style of the html or body tag to use overflow:hidden. This disables scrollbars. You need to ensure your page is understandable without scrollbars tho.
Dec 8 18:29:00 19m 00s Flaming Resistance I like the graphics, and mood of this game, and the sound too (even tho you opted out of those). One of the really important things in platformers tho are sharp controls. Unfortunately the magma continues to move for quite a while after you let go of A or D. So that is where I would see improvement. Additionally, the game has very low contrast. I had to adjust my screen brightness to even see the platforms. So yeah, consider increasing the contrast between the background and platforms.
Dec 8 18:39:00 10m 00s Ludum Clicker Hmm... So I just came from another clicker game, hence I don't know how to rate this properly. It's technically a clicker game, however it didn't grab me as much as some other clicker games. I think the reason might be in the lack of visual feedback. If you had floading +n labels emanate from the TV every time I clicked, or perhaps technobabble terms like "hack", "hello works", "print", "debug", "compile" etc. These could also emanate every time the various developer types added value. That way you could see the developers actually "working", past just the number at the top increasing. Additionally, you could make different types of developer emanate different types of text, or different colour, or different size, so you could tell those apart. Anyway, just some feedback and possible solutions. The audio is neat, btw. I like looks that don't get repetitive.
Dec 8 18:49:00 10m 00s ColorBlocks A very good entry! I enjoyed it a lot. Has a... super hexagon + audiosurf vibe to it, which I like. Anyway, I just thought I'd say that I am not completely convinced by the game over condition, which is triggered if you are hit while mid rotation. I understand the thinking behind it, I just think the game would be even better with more squares to attach to you, and without that game over condition. Just my 2 cents.
Dec 8 18:54:00 5m 00s Little choo-choo world Oh wow, this is super neat! I love games like the Patrician series, and this has a similar vibe - at least the buying and selling part. I like it a lot. And heck, the train "chugga" sound effect is amazing. :D
Dec 8 18:59:00 5m 00s The Cubenator Me and a friend were talking about particle effects, and discussed one of your blog posts, which showed the blocks exploding. Wanted to play the game since then, glad I finally did! Well done, nicely polished. It feels like a finished game, or at least a vertical slice of one.
Dec 8 19:06:00 7m 00s Cat Care We need to take good care of the building blocks of the Internet. Thank you for this educational game :)
Dec 8 19:13:00 7m 00s Contest Simulator: Studio Winning I really like games like this - games that make you imagine. They can create a better atmosphere than graphics - even as absurd an atmosphere as being locked in an apartment with salvation lying in winning contests.
Dec 8 19:20:00 7m 00s Mr. Spooky's Monster Hunt A very fun game indeed.
Dec 8 19:30:00 10m 00s Zombies Vs Army The web link currently leads to a 404.
Dec 8 19:35:00 5m 00s Letter Run Neat! I can see something like this being used as an educational game. Will have to show this to a coworker
Dec 9 17:19:00 21h 44m Swat Team Oh neat, a multi user game! I played with a co-worker. Pretty neat game. I also love your interpretation of the word 'screen'.
Dec 9 17:41:00 22m 00s Snowbert A point and click game! :D <br/> <br/>You have no idea how happy this made me!
Dec 9 17:54:00 13m 00s SUPER Market Madness "Taste guaranteed" :D
Dec 9 17:57:00 3m 00s Helga Kills Everything I saw Helga in one of the posts during the jam, and was really, really confused. I'm so glad I found it in the list of games. :D
Dec 9 18:13:00 16m 00s Underwater Fortress After like 10 attempts, I finally managed to survive the first wave, however took a casualty. I see great potential, but the game could stand to be easier - or at least an easy option to exist. I like resource management games otherwise.
Dec 9 18:27:00 14m 00s DFGH Mission Oooooooo :D I like! <br/> <br/>Artemis meets Cook, Serve, Delicious. Nice! <br/> <br/>I like that you polished the controls you have instead of cramming in many other controls, which may or may not work right in the end.
Dec 10 09:38:00 15h 11m Penguin Savior I lose, I suck D: <br/> <br/>I like the fact the surrounding area - the stuff off 'screen' - actually changes. Otherwise I just don't think the game being on an 'ingame screen' helped the game.
Dec 10 09:43:00 5m 00s Orbit Jumper People tend to avoid developing games, where gravity pulls in unintuitive directions (ie anything other than down.) I don't know that it worked well in this game either. Good attempt tho...
Dec 10 10:02:00 19m 00s DisChord Very good level design! Good progression of levels, training levels which introduce new concepts, etc. Overall a very good game.
Dec 10 10:19:00 17m 00s Cuberot Neat! I liked how downwards gravity affected all the sides, and how you made sure that all effects were visible on screen the first time, so you knew what happened when you stepped on a pressure plate, or something moved due to gravity - so you didn't have to backtrack through the entire world, looking for what changed. A very good entry.
Dec 10 10:29:00 10m 00s A Link Between Screens I like the level reorganization mechanic, pretty innovative.
Dec 10 10:32:00 3m 00s Fido, Fiona & Fidel The artwork in this game is absolutely adorable.
Dec 10 10:39:00 7m 00s Kill The Snowmen Oh god, my finger hurts! Needs the ability to auto-fire...
Dec 10 10:55:00 16m 00s Box Tower Defense Might want to correct 'web' to something else, since you have to download it.
Dec 10 11:01:00 6m 00s Meeting Survival I like exploration / experimentation games, so I appreciate this.
Dec 10 11:13:00 12m 00s Bryce Darling Oh neat! A 2 player game! :D
Dec 10 11:20:00 7m 00s I have monsters in my head This is pretty neat! I like how you have to evaluate if it's worth the risk to keep your eyes closed for longer or not, since - if you keep them closed for a brief time, you know where you are, but if you keep them closed for long, the world situation changed a lot, meaning you might die as soon as you open them.
Dec 10 11:23:00 3m 00s The Dinorawr Tales Dinorawr :D I love that name :D
Dec 10 11:26:00 3m 00s The escape is a lie? Both "Web" and "Windows" link to the same thing, are you sure you didn't link web to the wrong thing?
Dec 10 11:30:00 4m 00s The Hall Effect Yeah I love the death effect :D
Dec 10 11:42:00 12m 00s Hunt The Yeti Heh, one of those games where I completely forgot it was made for LD and that I'll have to give it a score at some point. I just continued to play it :D Can't think of a higher commendation than that, really.
Dec 10 12:09:00 27m 00s Disco Pixel Art Well..... you know the first thing all of us draw are, uh, three hills, right? :D <br/> <br/>Cool little canvas sandbox thingie :D
Dec 10 12:14:00 5m 00s Mountain Life Unity, Unity, Unity, Unity, Unity, Unity, Unity, Power Point, Unity, Unity... hold on, back up. Powerpoint?? <br/> <br/>I like it when people use creative platforms. Last time someone made a game in matlab, this year you're the first I came across who made a game on a strange 'platform'.
Dec 10 12:39:00 25m 00s SCREEN HEAD This is just SO COOL :D <br/> <br/>Granted, my first thought was: "Oh man, as if working in a cubicle all day wasn't bad enough, now we have to worry about outdated technology killing us?" :D
Dec 10 13:02:00 23m 00s Finish Your Project Love it love it love it! <br/> <br/>This is what a good version of the game I made looks like :) So happy I found this!
Dec 10 13:06:00 4m 00s Asterion Very good graphics and sound, tight controls. Now that you have all the tiles sorted out, you should probably add a few more levels or layouts.
Dec 10 13:10:00 4m 00s Kuch Bhi ! Difficult at first, however quick to master. Of course if you mess up and get a weird angle, there may just be no way to recover from that.
Dec 10 13:21:00 11m 00s Go Out Screen Neat! Love the idea and the execution. Best of all, this idea could be expanded a lot, so if you want to continue development after LD, you have a lot of things you can do.
Dec 10 13:24:00 3m 00s Ab Intra The greyscale art really works in this game.
Dec 10 13:33:00 9m 00s Rescue the princess Neat! I love the various stages, surfaces, monsters and such. The web version did not play well tho, so I downloaded the windows jar.
Dec 10 13:40:00 7m 00s SheeBall Woah, there is a lot of game here! Neat!
Dec 10 13:56:00 16m 00s Maze Escape I really like the way you extend the screen. The game also progresses really nicely - new abilities get introduced well. The game gets fairly difficult towards the end tho (bottom left section) - unless I missed a grappling hook ability somewhere...
Dec 10 14:08:00 12m 00s Ragtown Love the art style, choice of colours and the subject matter in general.
Dec 10 15:41:00 1h 33m MicroMayhem Neat.
Dec 10 15:46:00 5m 00s Alien Machinery The soundtrack in the back of my head was ViHart (youtuber) going "triangle triangle triangle triangle..." And this is by no means a bad thing! :D
Dec 10 15:49:00 3m 00s Space Rift Shooter There is sound... <br/> <br/>Anyway, the graphics and sound are fine, and it fits the theme, however I find it very difficult to control my ship. Perhaps making the direction of the ship controlled by the mouse, or alternatively making everything slower, would help.
Dec 10 16:01:00 12m 00s Eggogatchi I love how the facial expression changes as you train.
Dec 10 16:03:00 2m 00s Lumberninjack [unfinished] swipe swipe swipe swipe swipe swipe!!
Dec 10 16:07:00 4m 00s Rocket Tennis Hmm... I dunno, I see what you tried doing, but I just don't think it worked out... Glad to see people trying out new things, I just don't think this particular expansion improved the original.
Dec 10 16:09:00 2m 00s Explozemol You define which scene comes first in the build options for unity. Just add the proper scene(s) to the list there.
Dec 10 16:13:00 4m 00s Blob Thing's Epic Escape From the Lab I know that this was not the intent but the "You Were" at the end is eerie. It's a really spooky way of telling you that you died... Woah man...
Dec 10 16:19:00 6m 00s I wanna be that pixel! I like how you accompanied otherwise simple gameplay with an adorable theme.
Dec 10 16:22:00 3m 00s Cube Destroyer Simple enough gameplay. There's a slight problem (if you can call it that) in that the screen is twice as wide as it is tall, so you don't really see enemy cubes coming from the top and bottom as early as from the left and right.
Dec 10 16:25:00 3m 00s BARKLEY: SHUT UP AND SCREEN A fun little mini game. Enjoyed it.
Dec 10 17:25:00 1h 00m Coin Toss Simulator 2015 NOOOOOOOO I landed a shot STRAIGHT AT the snowman and it went through him. Maaaaaann... Considering you can break all the things in the room, I hoped the snowman would fall apart too! D: <br/> <br/>Otherwise a great game, so happy you added the secret destructible things :D Managed to break a glass too.
Dec 10 17:33:00 8m 00s Greeny GRUB Took a few tries to understand the controls, but they seem alright once you understand them. A fun little experience.
Dec 10 17:46:00 13m 00s Teeny Tiny Little Ball Really fun.
Dec 10 17:49:00 3m 00s Play Area Really cool game idea! I want to see this in a properly fleshed out and polished retail game!
Dec 10 17:59:00 10m 00s LiliLight Love the sense of helplessness that games, where your primary weapon is just a torch, make.
Dec 10 18:05:00 6m 00s SL1M3 Fairly straight-forward game. Nice level design, nice speed of introducing new concepts, and 'tutorial' levels or sections to teach players these concepts. Nice job.
Dec 20 16:04:00 237h 59m Lumit I played for the score. Got into the current top 10, that's good enough. Granted restarting didn't actually -display- my score, but I got enough to get into the current top 10 so nyaa~
Dec 20 16:17:00 13m 00s 25 DANG IT!! I got up to 11 on the 5x5 scale and made a mistake! Of course to get to the 5x5 tile I completed the 16 long sequence in 4x4 so I guess that is my limit.
Dec 20 17:02:00 45m 00s Party Greeting Simulator 2014 656 points. Neat game, simple but neat. I want more games like this.
Dec 20 17:33:00 31m 00s Shepard (unfinished) I would hire this sheep herder, seems to know how to do his job.
Dec 20 19:13:00 1h 40m Beat Bop Delicious I tried it quite a few times and only ever got to 1:15, which is basically just a little bit after the 6th console unlocks. <br/> <br/>I like how it has the cook, serve, delicious vibe, however would prefer keyboard controls, simply because mouse accuracy is an issue.
