Apr 29 02:48:00 Deep Collective I don't have someone else to play this with at the moment, so I won't rate it. It doesn't look much like the screenshot -- did you maybe upload the wrong version?
Apr 29 02:59:00 11m 00s Alien Depths The physics and lighting were cool. Not much to do, unfortunately, but a neat tech demo.
Apr 29 06:03:00 3h 04m Tenlki's Music player You included the HTML page but not the game itself -- we can't access the SWF!
Apr 29 06:32:00 29m 00s Below Earth You have to download Java 8 to run the game: <br/>http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre8-downloads-2133155.html <br/> <br/>The game was fun, and I thought the graphics and particle effects were nice. I made it to level 19. <br/> <br/>I had a few gripes, though: <br/>- The player movement felt really sluggish, especially combined with the bomb throwing mechanic -- I felt like there was barely enough room to maneuver, much less to get the run-up required to lob a bomb at enemies. <br/>- I felt like the spitting mole things should only take one hit to kill. They're hard enough to dodge as it is. <br/>- When you restart the level, you start with the amount of health you had when you got to that level. That kind of sucks when you only have 1 health left and the level is nearly impossible to beat without taking damage. <br/> <br/>Overall, I liked it! Good work. :)
Apr 29 06:41:00 9m 00s Hieranarchy There's a lot of lag when you attack enemies. I'm also not entirely sure how attacking works. Half the time, clicking them doesn't seem to do anything, and the other half it does damage and makes them bleed.
Apr 29 06:51:00 10m 00s Underground Minions The idea is kind of an interesting twist on Lemmings. Unfortunately there was only one level you could fully complete, and the second one was a lot of trial and error trying to figure out what all the actions did. Could be fun if you developed it a little further.
Apr 29 07:27:00 36m 00s Depths Beneath I enjoyed it a lot! I got all the upgrades. :) <br/> <br/>The sound for collecting coins was really nice, especially when you got a whole bunch in a row. The claws were also fun to play with. <br/> <br/>My only complaint is that it felt like how well I was doing had more to do with random chance than with skill -- if the game happened to spawn a lot of fish near each other (especially the sharks) or not enough gas, there was no hope of getting past that point. <br/> <br/>Still, it was well-done. Good job!
Apr 29 07:34:00 7m 00s Snatching Invaluables Beneath the Surface The movement felt nice and chunky. It was a little slow considering the size of the levels, though. <br/> <br/>I only got to level 2, but it didn't seem like there was much challenge. I also wasn't sure what the point of digging was -- you could basically walk anywhere underground. <br/> <br/>Visually, though, the game was really nice. Lots of nice polish like the way the player moves in steps and the lighting effects.
Apr 29 07:45:00 11m 00s Deepwater Mining Clicking to break the blocks felt a little tedious. Two or three clicks at most would have been enough, I think.
Apr 29 07:52:00 7m 00s Dig Hard Polished and lots of fun. Great work.
Apr 29 07:57:00 5m 00s Oh My Oilrig! I liked it! For some reason, though, when I clicked the build icon, the workers often wouldn't do anything. In one case, the clock popped up to indicate he was working, but the turret never appeared.
Apr 29 08:03:00 6m 00s Drill A Drill I dig the vocal sound effects. I didn't seem to be able to upgrade my defense, and somehow on my second run I ended up with negative science. Cool game, though.
Apr 29 08:14:00 11m 00s The Mask of Us The movement speed seemed a little high, and for me, the camera scrolled really, really slowly, so I had to wait about 45 seconds before the square-head house came into view. <br/> <br/>I liked it, though! Nice spin on the theme.
Apr 29 08:37:00 23m 00s Water Hazard Great atmosphere and PS1 graphics. Really well-done.
Apr 29 08:45:00 8m 00s RMBR Interesting way of telling a story. I tried it on my Nexus 5, but the place where I tapped on-screen didn't line up with where the game thought I was tapping -- seemed like a resolution issue of some kind.
Apr 29 08:57:00 12m 00s Robot invasion I tried left-clicking, but nothing seemed to be happening!
Apr 29 09:03:00 6m 00s Into the Abyss Nice music. I thought the underwater atmosphere complete with weird, glowy creatures was well-done.
Apr 29 22:20:00 13h 17m Trufflehunt Cute! I would have liked a little more strategy, but it was fun to play nonetheless.
Apr 29 22:32:00 12m 00s Debt Diver Great job of polish. I felt like there wasn't a lot of progression from one night to the next (I stopped at night 11), but the mechanic was fun. I wanted to explore deeper, but it seemed almost impossible to get any further than where it starts getting dark since I would inevitably have enough money by that point.
Apr 29 22:40:00 8m 00s Search Beneath the Surface Cute graphics and nice controls.
Apr 29 22:46:00 6m 00s Beneath The Surface Cool graphics and sound, and a great spin on the theme. Nice work!
Apr 29 22:56:00 10m 00s Magma Nicely polished and an interesting concept. I wish there was a restart button -- if you mess up once while trying to get "Kill 'Em All," you have to give up and try again.
Apr 29 23:11:00 15m 00s Le Ver Man, that worm totally depressed me. Fantastic mood.
Apr 29 23:19:00 8m 00s Nereids' Sea Really creepy; great work on atmosphere. I found the gameplay got a little stale because of how long it took to get to the treasure. I never did get to the end, because a Nereid caught me just before I found the treasure and I didn't feel like doing it all again.
Apr 29 23:26:00 7m 00s Ludumsub I like the atmosphere (especially when the lights go out). Nice work!
Apr 29 23:36:00 10m 00s Die Backpfeife aus dem Nichts Hah, this is wacky. I like it.
Apr 29 23:42:00 6m 00s the Attack - Beneath the Surface Congrats on your first Ludum Dare! :) Very simple, but it seemed like you were going for minimalism. Some more play mechanics would have been nice.
Apr 29 23:54:00 12m 00s Theres's a Twist Interesting mechanic! Like a few others mentioned, the movement felt very rigid and "sticky," and the difficulty curve was a bit high (though I made it to level 10 or so). Overall, though, good job!
Apr 30 00:00:00 6m 00s Coin Diver Great use of music and an interesting control scheme. I didn't love how you stick to walls, but it was otherwise fun to play.
Apr 30 00:07:00 7m 00s Daisy's dog is dead Cute graphics and interesting mechanics. <br/> <br/>I found the post-it notes a little awkward -- they would always move slightly after being placed, and their collision boxes seemed unclear to me. I also wish I could have seen what they were before clicking on them.
Apr 30 00:12:00 5m 00s Scavenger Congrats on your first Ludum Dare! <br/> <br/>I found the controls were a little sticky, and I kept getting stuck inside of walls while jumping. Some of the enemies seemed to be placed in ways that getting past them was more luck than skill. <br/> <br/>Still, interesting mechanic with hunger, and good job getting a full set of audio in (including SFX and music)!
Apr 30 00:18:00 6m 00s An Osterreich tale, or something about ostriches Haha, great take on the theme. I found it a little too disorienting for me to play, but I love the idea.
Apr 30 00:23:00 5m 00s The Goblin Inside Funny concept and interpretation of the theme, and nice music.
Apr 30 00:33:00 10m 00s Body Defence Nice music, and a decent tower defense game. When the green enemies (they look kind of like frog heads?) came, my turrets kept missing them. Not sure if that was intentional.
