| Apr 27 08:12:00 | Beneath the Surface 60 seconds dash | There's virus code at the bottom of the web .htm file for this. Looks like the RAMNIT.a virus. Uploader is likely not aware that he has it, but I'd recommend against running the web version. | |
| Apr 28 03:38:00 | 19h 26m | Deepweb | Really nice unique gameplay and plot! <br/> <br/>A couple of things: <br/>- I can't click to skip the intro text like I can for other text in the game, although it mysteriously works if I go to another browser tab and come back. Not a big deal. <br/>- I missed that it was find AND frag the target at first, leading to a couple of unnecessary deaths. The instructions should maybe have shown the actual frag button as well as the target's icon. |
| Apr 28 03:48:00 | 10m 00s | Iron Descent | Good basic mechanics, but fairly simple and generic. I feel like the fall speed is a bit slower than it should be - I know this is MARS GRAVITY, but it makes it a bit difficult to outmanoeuvre the enemy bullets while falling. |
| Apr 28 03:55:00 | 7m 00s | Room Cleaning Simulator 2014 | Great premise and nice art style + humour. I had some problems with rubbish getting stuck in the corners, but nothing too serious. |
| Apr 28 04:22:00 | 27m 00s | Her Touch | Clever game mechanics! I got a crash when leaving the screen with the red boss - maybe because I left before interacting with him? Difficulty seems a little bit high overall but nice work. |
| Apr 28 04:34:00 | 12m 00s | Anterraria | A lot attempted here for 48hrs. Understandably, some of it seems a little buggy - digging for instance seems a bit weird with when it decides to work and when it doesn't. My dirt resource (?) also seems to go up whether or not the dirt block was actually used up. Nice ambitious idea though - something in the vein of Sim Ant. |
| Apr 28 04:48:00 | 14m 00s | Paranoia | Nicely presented, and the story really helps to motivate you to keep playing. Like someone else said though, it's not really a challenge until the last level. |
| Apr 28 05:10:00 | 22m 00s | Moon Harvest | Worked for me on Chrome, but the ship didn't seem to wrap around when going off-screen, so it was easy to lose the ship way off where you can't see it. |
| Apr 28 05:18:00 | 8m 00s | Gold Diver | Windows version worked for me. Diver seems to move ultra-fast for me, making it hard to aim for the gaps - maybe you have movement tied to CPU speed instead of real time? Cool idea though, and nice simple graphics (especially the cool hose effect). |
| Apr 28 05:27:00 | 9m 00s | You Must SMASH! | Nice little concept. Controls maybe a little bit floaty. |
| Apr 28 05:43:00 | 16m 00s | ReD | Great work. I did get stuck at the first boss - although I also discovered that you can stand just to the left of the grass area and the boss can't hit you until it starts shooting. :) Nice how the unlocked abilities let you deal with new areas in new ways. |
| Apr 28 05:53:00 | 10m 00s | The Sandbox | Excellent interpretation of the theme. |
| Apr 28 05:59:00 | 6m 00s | Abstraction | Great interpretation of the theme. Rather short. <br/> <br/>I feel like the code aspect could be part of the game more than just a "let the player see the code" type thing. For instance, maybe they can't activate an object but going into CODE VIEW (a.k.a. Neo Mode) reveals source that says like "If (KeyDown(Ctrl-R)) ActivateHypercube()." |
| Apr 28 06:19:00 | 20m 00s | Minor Incidents | I realise it starts very zoomed-in to account for the radar upgrades, but might have been better to use nearest neighbour interpolation instead of bilinear/bicubic; hard-edged pixels generally look better than blurred ones at that size. <br/> <br/>Honestly the most impressive part of the game was the music, if you actually made that during the 48 hours. |
| Apr 28 06:23:00 | 4m 00s | Bellhook | Nicely polished for a 48-hr game; well done. |
| Apr 28 06:29:00 | 6m 00s | Pelican Challenge | Pretty simple concept, but plays well and looks good. |
| Apr 28 06:36:00 | 7m 00s | Little Mole Hunt | Nice original concept. Well done getting multiplayer working (with editable terrain even!) in the 48 hour timeframe (though I didn't try multiplayer myself). |
| Apr 28 06:52:00 | 16m 00s | Wriggle Worm | Nicely presented, and the worm's movements are nicely fluid. Definitely gets across the jarring difference between normal gameplay and colliding with other worms. |
| Apr 28 22:21:00 | 15h 29m | Under the kitchen surface | Great work for someone young. Keep it up! |
| Apr 28 22:28:00 | 7m 00s | Coal Not Dole | It is possible to jump over enemies! But possibly it should be a little easier. |
| Apr 28 22:49:00 | 21m 00s | Free Fall | Re your description: Totally. I think Ludum Dare has always been intended to be more about learning and having fun than about winning. |
| Apr 28 23:00:00 | 11m 00s | Klein Bottle Asteroids | Cool concept. I agree with other that it is a little difficult. Often it's easiest to sit in the middle and only rotate (especially with the bullets respawning as soon as you hit something). |
| Apr 28 23:06:00 | 6m 00s | Moon Mole Massacre | I like that you only have to mouse over the moles, and don't have to click. Makes it less about frantic clicking and more about smooth movements - although it's maybe a little *too* easy this way. |
| Apr 28 23:39:00 | 33m 00s | Ripple | I got stuck at the beach - I assume the letter box was meant to take me to the next location? But nice up to there; great atmosphere and audio. |
| Apr 29 03:25:00 | 3h 46m | Into the Milk | Pretty cool. Hard to get slow into the little gap in World 4, but not a big deal. |
| Apr 29 06:29:00 | 3h 04m | Damn Sharks | It's a nice touch how the explosion is area-effect and also propels everything away (including your sub!). |
| Apr 29 06:33:00 | 4m 00s | Dolphin and Lava | The random-tuna-tin generator is a little unfair sometimes (putting tins right in the middle of small tunnels) but plays pretty well apart from that. I managed a score of 10000 or so on a lucky run. |
| Apr 29 08:41:00 | 2h 08m | Amazing! Beneath The Surface | Great art. Level 5 was my downfall. |
| Apr 29 08:43:00 | 2m 00s | Layered | It's actually a nice mechanic how the game gets easier as you get damaged. |
| Apr 29 08:58:00 | 15m 00s | Bone Up | Love the music in this (despite it being super repetitive). |
| Apr 29 09:01:00 | 3m 00s | async | Excellent concept! The physics maybe make it a little too difficult - personally I'd prefer a little more jump height and a little less sliding around. |
| Apr 29 09:08:00 | 7m 00s | A Mole's Life | Surprisingly complex! The baby moles :3 |
| Apr 29 09:19:00 | 11m 00s | Minecart Rollercoaster | Heh, are you meant to get stuck on the ceiling for a moment if you jump from the top row? A good time anyway. |
| Apr 29 09:23:00 | 4m 00s | Read Between the Tropes | Clever way of calling attention to a bunch of tired writing clichés, I like it. |
| Apr 29 09:26:00 | 3m 00s | Infinite Fall | Nice having the two game modes to make it a little less generic. Shooting sections are a bit too easy if you just spam the fire button. |
| Apr 29 09:29:00 | 3m 00s | Cookie | Not bad for four hours but yeah, pretty basic. Needs to be a bit clearer about how the score is calculated (is it just how much "bunker" you hit vs. dirt?). |
| Apr 29 09:34:00 | 5m 00s | OMNOMNOM | Pretty simple as a game, but beautiful art! Well-made music for 48-hours as well. |
| Apr 29 21:46:00 | 12h 12m | Beneath the Game Developer | :( |
| Apr 30 04:08:00 | 6h 22m | QP : Fix the leak! | Nice. I noticed that it's possible to leave the bucket entirely on a ledge somewhere - is that intentional? |
