| Apr 29 00:48:00 | Under Earth | This is quite impressive. I love how "crunchy" it all is with the explosion effects etc. Been taking some lessons from Vlambeer, perhaps!

Shame you didn't have more time to round it out a bit more... I like using the drill to dash in the air. | |
| Apr 29 00:57:00 | 9m 00s | Gun Digger | Pretty cool from a tech perspective. I like maps just made out of polygons etc

The player sprite is a total badass btw |
| Apr 29 01:02:00 | 5m 00s | It Came from Beneath the Surface: Wormgun | This was really cool. I didn't really mind playing on a keyboard - I love making the worm stand up like a charmed snake. Good work with Worm Game |
| Apr 29 01:09:00 | 7m 00s | Whack-A-Burster | This is pretty funny. Scream sound effect took me by surprise! |
| Apr 29 01:14:00 | 5m 00s | Deep Sea Mission | I like this, reminds me of space shooters where you have to assign power. Little bit slow and I kept expecting a jellyfish to eat me

Also for some reason running the love file directly didn't work out for me. Windows build worked fine though |
| Apr 29 01:21:00 | 7m 00s | Masquerade | Interesting take on the theme. Wish I could accuse all of them. |
| Apr 29 01:42:00 | 21m 00s | Gravedigger 20XX | I really love the colour palette and any game where death means your guy turns into a tiny tombstone is at least a 4/5 |
| Apr 29 02:03:00 | 21m 00s | Beneath The Surface: A detective story of video game conspiracies. | I couldn't get past the third case. Nice concept though. |
| Apr 29 02:06:00 | 3m 00s | Doug: The Endless Digger | DOUG DIED DIGGING |
| Apr 29 02:09:00 | 3m 00s | The Guy Who Fights Underground Monsters | Nice animations and I like the effect where the higher you go the more green the background is.

Couldn't get past a particular jump though :S |
| Apr 29 02:19:00 | 10m 00s | Another Day at Work | Was anything supposed to happen after the red area? |
| Apr 29 02:25:00 | 6m 00s | Surface of Sanity | I really like the graphical style of this game... ever play Halfquake? Reminds me of wolf3d in terms of gameplay... |
| Apr 29 02:27:00 | 2m 00s | Manliest Man : Manly Fishing | The water effect is really nice. Almost sort of like ridiculous fishing |
| Apr 29 02:33:00 | 6m 00s | Beneath the Surf-Ace | This is really cool. It's like Ecco the Dolphin : REVENGEANCE. Lovely style. |
| Apr 29 02:36:00 | 3m 00s | Literary Diver | I got an A! |
| Apr 29 03:09:00 | 33m 00s | SUNK | Really depressing game (in a good way), interesting mechanics. One of my favourites this LD |
| Apr 29 12:03:00 | 8h 54m | Safety Blanket | That's a mighty pretty blanket. Really good work with the effects, fun game too! |
| Apr 29 12:14:00 | 11m 00s | Nereids' Sea | I think an air gauge would make this all the more tense. Good work either way |
| Apr 29 12:23:00 | 9m 00s | Sepsis | I like the greening of the screen when you start messing up. Game has quite a slow start, though...

A very shiny game! |
| May 7 21:47:00 | 201h 24m | Advanced Cave Crawler | I think the way you implemented the difficulty settings is quite interesting. Instead of just say changing the probability of defeat or something, the % of good / bad events, when you consider that defeated monsters give you gold... could be interesting.

That said, I'm a huge baby and ran from every monster I saw, taking baths whenever possible. Neat game, though I wish you had a little bit more control over your destiny - I don't know if you're actually being stalked by a big beast or something, but I did sort of feel a bit like I was hunting a Wumpus.

Also, pretty neat to do something like this in a 2D framework. I can think of a really inelegant way to do it, though it'd be cool if there's a little more going on behind the scenes. |
| May 7 21:55:00 | 8m 00s | The Mad Engineer | Missing DLL, couldn't play. MSVCR100D.dll... might be a Visual Studio Redistributable thing. Sorry. |
| May 7 21:57:00 | 2m 00s | Naked Digging Cowboys | Missing DLL file. MSVCR120.dll ... sorry. |
| May 7 22:04:00 | 7m 00s | Ice Hop | I can't figure out how to launch the game, when I double-click the file it just asks what I should open it in (Windows) |
| May 7 22:09:00 | 5m 00s | Fishes At War | Really cool game, one of my favourites so far! I love that you can use the sharks to defend yourself against the other sharks, and the GOOOOOAAAAALLLL when you hit the button. |
| May 7 22:14:00 | 5m 00s | Cave of Jagnog | It's sort of cool that you can't really see what's around you too well since it's zoomed in, but it also makes the game really hard to play. Maybe in the future try to black out everything apart from what's in a small circle around the player and zoom it out a bit. |
| May 7 22:27:00 | 13m 00s | William the Wopol | Very well polished for a Ludum Dare game. You even had the time to put in an options menu with screen scaling and nice things like that! I suppose that's the advantage of a team.

Couldn't quite figure out how to drop the ball at the start, my guy just ended up chucking it about the place instead... once I got past that, really enjoyable little platformer. |
| May 7 22:34:00 | 7m 00s | European water vole ATTACK | Reminds me of something on the Spectrum or likewise. I like the basic consideration of where to break the surface and set the farmer against you - it's a heist game. |
| May 7 22:40:00 | 6m 00s | Torch | Nice interplay of simple lighting on pixel art. I always wonder about this style but it seems to work a treat here.

Little frustrating to play though. I got quite a Heart of Darkness vibe from it. |
| May 7 23:14:00 | 34m 00s | Systemout underneath | Bad luck with your entry. Never seem to see many text adventure-y games for Ludum Dare... |
| May 7 23:17:00 | 3m 00s | WWE(Worms War Evolution) | Nice twist on multiplayer Snake. I like being able to bite the guy's worm in twain! And huge props for making the game playable single-player. |
| May 7 23:28:00 | 11m 00s | Stick Escape | Really slick presentation, simple but very effective.

Though it is a little repetitive, perhaps it should get faster as the player progresses. Though the rotation effect does break up the monotony a little bit! |
| May 8 00:39:00 | 1h 11m | Sub-Cirrus | I really like how ridiculous this game can get the more you build. I couldn't figure out how to make the mess hall work though... |
| May 9 21:55:00 | 45h 16m | Beneath the surface | I'd really have liked to play more of this, but it's just too buggy for me to really get my teeth into. You're probably doing something right though if your LD entry is complex enough to be buggy. :) |
| May 9 22:05:00 | 10m 00s | Depths | I quite like the shoals, though they're super rare. I found it wholly a wee bit frustrating, though. Controls are very slippery and the enemies aren't very predictable - I'm sure that was probably the point. |
| May 10 11:40:00 | 13h 35m | Beneath the surface | Solid entry. It probably took years for Super Meat Boy to get movement physics down pat, this is about halfway there in 3 days - but then, you know what they say about 90% / 10%.

I like the way you've done level editing as just simple PNG files and text files - not exactly documented, but it always brings a smile to my face to see people use very open formats like that.

I found the music a wee bit annoying. |
| May 10 11:46:00 | 6m 00s | Beneath the Surface | A very visually impressive game, but the OHK-ness, strange controls and skeletons behind obstacles make me think more of masocore titles, treating difficulty as the be-all-end-all, than the sort of "hard-but-fair" notion you were certainly going for - using difficulty as a means to an end in creating an interesting game. |
| May 10 11:51:00 | 5m 00s | Rocket Mole | Very interesting notion once you get past the initial awkwardness. I would likely increase the range you can rotate by, not fully but so that you can progress slightly even while facing the wrong way (perhaps 100 degrees in either direction?)

Very solid entry, usually I find Java games have all sorts of difficulties but this worked just fine! |
| May 10 11:58:00 | 7m 00s | Caeruleo | Very interesting idea, but difficult to really get into due to the timer bug. Other than that, I like the combination of two ideas that have seperately seen a lot of use here - the radar and the grappling hook. |
| May 10 12:03:00 | 5m 00s | Project Nether | It's a shame about the input bug, but at least you know about it and flagged it up.

Fun little game. You seem to have given some thought to the general progression, a consideration not usually given to LD entries. You start out with a lot of fuel lying around so you can really get into things quickly, then eventually lava starts to appear in small amounts, eventually ramping up.

Good job |
| May 10 17:48:00 | 5h 45m | Mind Your Business | Quite slick and polished - nice style, though the animations made it a little frustrating to play at times.

Reminds me of Sierra adventure titles with all the sudden and at times incomprehensible deaths. But exploring all those deaths is basically the fun of the game

Dunno what the deal with the misogynist pepsi guy is but he reminds me of a friend... |
| May 10 18:04:00 | 16m 00s | Helevenium | Lovely little piece of visual flair with the coloured trails, and all the little particles add some texture - something I wish I had thought of with my sort of similar game.

I love the fact that you're able to send enemy projectiles back at them, though the blue flash on hit can get very distracting at times. Likely better than having no feedback at all, though.

Really enjoyed this, though! Boss could have used a few "tells", but otherwise superb work. |
| May 11 14:06:00 | 20h 02m | UnderTheLibrary | Fun platformer, though the one thing I could pick a hole in would be the extreme inertia in the air coupled with no inertia on the ground, going down the shaft on the second map was rather annoying... |
| May 11 21:31:00 | 7h 25m | Heart of the Earth | This is the sort of thing I really like. The music changing as you play is really nice... |
