| Dec 16 03:05:00 | Tough | I couldn't figure it out! | |
| Dec 16 03:33:00 | 28m 00s | Stabby Slimes | In the web player, attacking doesn't work unless I also hold down shift. I keep dying from the first enemy. |
| Dec 16 03:42:00 | 9m 00s | One Spell at a Time | I kept dying! One time I managed to get to the second level, but every other time was just impossible. |
| Dec 16 03:51:00 | 9m 00s | Bitman | Unplayable -- there are no instructions for how to fire your gun. After trial and error I figured out that X fires the gun, but also kills you. Once you die you can still move around but there's no way to play the level alive again. |
| Dec 16 04:00:00 | 9m 00s | Soup Tyrant | Probably the best LD28 game I've seen so far. A creative take on the theme -- instead of assuming "you" is the player, "you" is each NPC, resulting in a creative new gameplay mechanic. Instead of the constraint acting upon the player, the player is charged with enacting the constraint. |
| Dec 16 04:17:00 | 17m 00s | COR | Awesome! Beautiful graphics and music. Takes the theme and extends it beyond the game into the real world. Minor nitpicks: it doesn't use the theme *within* the game (the theme is a subject of the narrative instead of an element of the gameplay), and it's pretty short. |
| Dec 16 04:32:00 | 15m 00s | Do not miss! | Nice! Totally playable. Sound effects were fun. Could have used more levels or some other mechanic to add more play time. There was a nice, unusual strategy of first avoiding the wolf, letting it eat the civilians, and then hunting it once you get the bow. |
| Dec 16 04:49:00 | 17m 00s | Assembly Man | I really enjoyed the sequence of pressing buttons to assemble the gun, that was super cool. Not sure what my objective is after assembling it, though. I get one shot, and then what? Seems like I'm bound to die at that point. |
| Dec 16 05:03:00 | 14m 00s | Out | Very interesting take on the theme. This is an example of how to move games in the direction of art. Very thought provoking, good work! That said, the gameplay mechanics were weak and unrelated to the narrative theme (as far as I could tell). I think there were maybe delta-time issues where sometimes thing moved at a reasonable rate but most of the time it felt like everything was moving about twice as fast as it should, which kind of killed the platforming for me. |
| Dec 16 05:34:00 | 31m 00s | The Hallowed Orb | Solid arcade-style game. Nice key binding setup. |
| Dec 16 05:38:00 | 4m 00s | You Get One Fuel Tank! | Pretty straightforward. Nice changing background color. It took me a minute to figure out what was going on with the exclamation points though -- it seems like those should disappear once you've collected them. It would be nice if there was some way to play the game well enough that you keep going and going -- as it is I feel like I'm going to lose pretty quickly no matter what. |
| Dec 17 03:27:00 | 21h 49m | Extreme Curling | The Play Store link doesn't work for me. |
| Dec 17 03:34:00 | 7m 00s | Monopathy | Nice! Fun puzzling, clean presentation. Minor nitpicks: it would be nice if the music didn't start over with every level, and if the disks moved maybe half as fast. |
| Dec 17 03:43:00 | 9m 00s | The Chipper | Nice graphics and music, responsive controls and mechanics. |
| Dec 17 03:52:00 | 9m 00s | FASTBACK | I like the enemy behaviors, how tables fly back when you shoot them and how when you hit some things they leave stains on the environment. It got frustrating when an enemy would shoot and kill me as soon as I saw them, like maybe a couple of frames after I saw them. Nice soundtrack too. |
| Dec 17 03:57:00 | 5m 00s | Dollar Nothing | Plugin crashed after my first attempt, when I hit "Retry". |
| Dec 17 04:00:00 | 3m 00s | Christmas Cookies | Game crashes if I click and drag on a cookie. Not 100% repro but pretty consistently the second time I do it. |
| Dec 17 04:03:00 | 3m 00s | The Only One | Got this error after being damaged a bit:
___________________________________________
############################################################################################
FATAL ERROR in
action number 1
of Draw Event
for object obj_action:

Push :: Execution Error - Variable Get 58.spot(100104, 32000)
at gml_Object_obj_action_Draw_0
############################################################################################ |
| Dec 17 04:09:00 | 6m 00s | SUMMONING ONE | Beautiful background, character animations, and music. It wasn't clear to me when I could use the special attack. |
| Dec 17 04:16:00 | 7m 00s | Shadow Night | Really nice wall textures and audio. Not a lot to do after exploring the house. |
| Dec 17 04:29:00 | 13m 00s | Cup's Quest | Really enjoyed the graphical style with the sprites in the 3D world, reminded me of Pokemon or Paper Mario. I wanted to play more, I was disappointed when it was over! |
| Dec 17 04:46:00 | 17m 00s | One For All & All For One | Funny take on the theme! Nice music and artwork. |
| Dec 17 05:10:00 | 24m 00s | Cuborg | Really nice graphics, the reflections and lighting were really cool. Nice "music" too! |
| Dec 17 05:17:00 | 7m 00s | youGOO! - a webcam game | It worked for me! Cool to see a very different approach to user input. The fist detection seemed to work well enough. Could use some more features maybe, like using the position of your fist in the game somehow. |
| Dec 17 05:31:00 | 14m 00s | Incomplete | Reminds me of the old point-and-clicks like Monkey Island. Some of the solutions are as unexpected as they are in those games. |
| Dec 17 05:41:00 | 10m 00s | Keep on Living | I really liked the map, especially the way the grass tiles blended into each other. I survived for four days then died of hunger. I didn't understand tiredness -- it seemed like I hit a limit and then I walked slower and that was it? I wanted to be able to sleep to replenish tiredness. |
| Dec 17 05:47:00 | 6m 00s | Yogo Grenade | I love the source material. When the grenade went off, the fade to white was epic. |
| Dec 17 06:01:00 | 14m 00s | Spell | That's different to see a card game, nice work! The rules of the game are simple enough to start playing quickly but have enough subtlety to make the decisions interesting. |
| Jan 5 00:28:00 | 450h 27m | There Can Be Only One | Nice idea, sort of iterated rock paper scissors. There could be more feedback about what move the opponent is doing, what the right counter is, and who won when the round is over. |
| Jan 5 00:41:00 | 13m 00s | YOGO Cookie | Fun! Nice difficulty curve, kind of tricky but not hard enough to rage quit. Nice take on the theme. I like the dog (wagging tail and game mechanic). Could have used more feedback on line of sight of the parents and the dog. |
| Jan 5 00:49:00 | 8m 00s | You can only get peace | It's different, not a "fun" game exactly but more of an experience. The couple of things that happen to you while meditating are pretty cool and surprising. Not sure how it relates to the theme though. Nice textures on the bed and floor. |
| Jan 5 00:55:00 | 6m 00s | Protoport | Nice presentation. Fun mechanic although I think it's a little too tricky, I kept dying over and over. |
| Jan 5 00:59:00 | 4m 00s | Cure the infected! | I like how many people are in the crowd. It feels hectic, you want to go ahead and knock out those infected before it gets out of hand. I didn't end up using the store. |
| Jan 5 01:05:00 | 6m 00s | Food Survival | Really nice animations. Not sure how it relates to the theme. |
| Jan 5 20:22:00 | 19h 17m | Stickman in a Cave | I felt like I was getting the hang of this game. Really into the voice over and sound effects. Impressed by the scripted events like rescuing a survivor. I was feeling pretty tough, I had every item and was starting to dig into the rock when I heard "Watch out! These monsters might hurt you!" No problem, I thought, I have every weapon and even an extra heart, so the first enemies in the game should be no problem for me. I tried to use my sword on the spider but I guess I bumped into the spider because it was immediately game over! So I rage quit.

Super fun would play again if my character wasn't as fragile as an origami crane. |
| Jan 5 20:37:00 | 15m 00s | Justin Beiber Presents: Justin Beiber in, Justin Beiber-Ball starring Justin Beiber: Mad Swag edition | Nice work, I like how this is kind of outside the box. I shouldn't really be rating it because I can't play it -- unless what I'm rating is the experience of watching you play the game on YouTube, which I can do, in which case, therefore, I'm rating it.

Also I like hunting dinosaurs, but it would be nice if the gun reloaded when you fire your last bullet instead of when you try to fire the next one. |
| Jan 5 20:43:00 | 6m 00s | Shovel Master | The execution is pretty good (graphics, sound, music, controls), but I'm not a big fan of the gameplay -- it seems like there aren't any interesting decisions for the player to make, and whether you win or lose seems to be pretty much luck. |
| Jan 5 21:28:00 | 45m 00s | Jim's Night At Work | Nice take on the theme, nice environments, the rooms felt like real places which was cool. Sound would have been great as well as more things to do. |
| Jan 6 02:35:00 | 5h 07m | 1 Minute Capsule | Solid. Nice sprites, music, controls, and gameplay. I got frustrated when I died on level three and had to start over on level one again. |
| Jan 6 02:42:00 | 7m 00s | Call of Monsters | Nice take on the theme. Hitting a lot of monsters in one shot is really satisfying. I would have liked to know how much health I had left but that didn't matter too much because restarting levels was so quick. |
| Jan 6 02:53:00 | 11m 00s | The Social Avarice of an Adult Mayfly | I like the mechanics, I just wish there was more of an objective. Cool idea, maybe there's some way to expand upon the idea of socializing to make it more game-y. |
| Jan 6 03:03:00 | 10m 00s | There's Only One St. Nick | I think by the end I understood what was going on. There are some nice RTS elements in there, managing upgrading / improving efficiency vs. harvesting wood, carrying gifts, but it wasn't clear how to do it at first. The punching bag was funny! |
| Jan 6 03:11:00 | 8m 00s | The Gold Coin | This was an interesting beginning of a story. Makes me curious to try out Twine. Could have used an ending or something, but it was nice that a couple of options opened up as the story progressed. |
| Jan 6 03:16:00 | 5m 00s | Race The One | This is the most dedicated take on the theme that I've seen. Good work! It would be nice if I could restart the game without refreshing. |
