| Aug 26 09:50:00 | Interim | I completed it. It quite was good fun. I could see this been developed into something good. | |
| Aug 26 10:12:00 | 22m 00s | BeQuick | I think some instructions would have been good. It took me a while to figure out that I wasn't the arrow. I'm not sure why that is even there. I like the basic idea of the game, although maybe at the moment it relies too much on luck. |
| Aug 26 10:19:00 | 7m 00s | 10Seconds Racer | Love it. Simple and fun. I'll be back to play this. I like the graphics, the sound the gameplay, everything. One thing though, does it not save your high score? I couldn't see it if it did. Well done. |
| Aug 26 10:39:00 | 20m 00s | YorkTime | This is a game I will need to come back to to fully understand. There are loads of good things about it. I like the graphics and I've never played anything like this before. I think I will end up really liking it. <br/> <br/>But so far I'm finding it more frustrating than fun. Probably because I'm trying to zoom in to see the tutorials, that are written in handwriting that's hard to read, on a screen that is too dark, while accidently clicking the screen and placing a node where I didn't want it, all the while being driven crazy by the repetive music. <br/> <br/>That sounds really negative. But I do think this will be really good one day. |
| Aug 26 11:15:00 | 36m 00s | Time Tunnels | A really innovative idea with loads of potential. If you'd only have changed that ugly green rectangle into something that likes looks like a button then the graphics would have been nice! <br/> <br/>I agree with the other commenter about the draggable interface. If you make the tiles that slow you down look more like things that will slow you down that would be good (like sand or water). Also the time next the circle should tick up as it goes along rather than just staying the same. And if you reach the exit you should haven't to wait for the timer to finish. <br/> <br/>I'm sure you know all this anyway. Good for one days work. |
| Aug 26 12:26:00 | 1h 11m | 10 Second Escapes | This was so much better than I thought it was gonna be when I first started playing. So far the most addictive game I've played in the competition. I've made a couple of puzzle type games within 48 hours so I know how hard it is to get the difficulty right and I think you did a brilliant job with that. <br/> <br/>The sound and graphics are simple but it does the job. I think another sound effect for when the time runs out would be good, rather than the same effect you get when you die. The constant beeping sound actually adds tension. <br/> <br/>I prefer the gameplay of this to Thomas Was Alone. All you need is some beautiful music and a celebrity to narrate it saying funny things. : ) |
| Aug 26 12:36:00 | 10m 00s | Astenroids | Oh yeah,you're right. We came up with a very similar idea executed in very different ways. |
| Aug 26 13:50:00 | 1h 14m | Ten Down | I love the sound effects, they made me laugh. I liked the controls system, it's weird and takes some getting used to but it made it more interesting. |
| Aug 26 14:18:00 | 28m 00s | Potato Lagoon | Beautiful graphics, and music. Loved the choir voices. Definitely the most stylish game I've played so far. And the person who said it was too easy, must be a lot better at it than me! |
| Aug 26 14:49:00 | 31m 00s | 10 Seconds to Clear | I won the whole game! I'm a regular on typeracer so I'm your target audience. I at first thought starting from the beginning again was a bad idea, but as there are so few levels it's probably for the best. <br/> <br/>If you add more levels though you can change it so you just keep track of how many times they failed, and completing the game with the lowest amount of failures is the goal. That way we wouldn'thave to restart. Or maybe just have check points. Another thing is, you can't actually type when the sign says go. You have to wait until it disappears. I also came across the won and lost at the same time bug. |
| Aug 26 15:13:00 | 24m 00s | Hackfield | I've downloaded it but nothing is happening when I click the exe file. |
| Aug 26 15:30:00 | 17m 00s | 10 Seconds and The Wizard | It made me laugh out loud in a couple of places, especially the text when you win. The gameplay is incredibly tedius yet compelling. I think the cute graphics and story made me want to see it through even though I was tearing my hair out. I've never tried acid, but I'm thinking this is the kind of games the Beatles would have made on their trips to India. <br/> <br/>ps I don't think enough was made of his premature ejaculation problem. |
| Aug 26 15:40:00 | 10m 00s | Ten Second Balls | There is no link to play? Or am I missing something. |
| Aug 26 19:00:00 | 3h 20m | Crazy Cog Boom! | The graphics and presentation were first class. Really really good. I like the mix of the 3d game with the 2d puzzle element, that was original. <br/> <br/>I don't understand how you can program something that looks this complicated yet not add a press a key to try again rather than refresh the page! <br/> <br/>I think adding a sound when a cog slides into place would have made it more satisfying. Also at the moment it's just kind of randomly trying out cogs. It's just trial and error. You need to think of some kind of clue about which cog fits where. |
| Aug 26 19:08:00 | 8m 00s | 1010 Runner | I think if you're gonna make a game really hard, then you have to make it really easy to play again. Using the mouse to hit a play again button then, another button at a different location makes it unnecessarily frustrating. <br/> <br/>I thought the sprite was interesting. It kind of looked like a real person, like what they did in the original mortal kombat. I liked the look of the rainbow also. |
| Aug 26 19:47:00 | 39m 00s | Boulder Runner | I wouldn't worry about the lack of button on the about page. I bet the amount of people that will actually click on the about button won't very high and they'll figure it out. <br/> <br/>I liked the graphics a lot. I like the game but one thing that really bugged me and ruined the experience was I felt I was constantly clicking the continue button. When you are using the keyboard to play a game constantly having to switch to the mouse is a pain. Anyway can't you just assume the player wants to continue when they finish a level? <br/> <br/>The font with timer on was pretty small. As ten seconds was the theme you could have made it more prominent. |
| Aug 26 22:28:00 | 2h 41m | 7Tulips | I've not rated this yet. I need to play it more. But I think I would have given up already if it wasn't for the great reviews in the comments. I mean graphically it's great and there is so much style and polish, it's extreamly impressive that you could do all this in such a short time frame, however, most of the games I can't figure out what I'm suppored to do at all. <br/> <br/>The first one is straight foward. The dating one is funny and I guess I just have to memorize the answers. I liked the driving one. Seeing it from both views was really cool. I don't understand the platform game at all. I couldn't see any tulips. I don't understand the shooter one either. It only lets me shoot once, and again no sign of any tulips. <br/> <br/>Still you will get 5 out 5 from me for innovation. |
| Aug 26 23:18:00 | 50m 00s | Flippin' Matrix | I agree with Skully. The old man needs more things to do because you are just waiting to be able to play again. Or maybe there needs to be obsticals that take just under 10 seconds to do, and if you don't complete them before you are an old man again the old man dies. Like you could be on a slope that's too steep for the old man to stand on without sliding down to his death. So you have to hurry before you switch back. <br/> <br/>Still very impressive overall. I really like the graphics, especially the grainy effect on the ninja scene. I think my favourite part was in the house at the beginning. |
| Aug 26 23:31:00 | 13m 00s | Spoken | I don't get it. It's very intriguing but I don't really understand what I'm supposed to do. If all the audio was 10 seconds long I'd kind of get it, but the first one is over minute then another is 5 seconds. Then there are links asking me if I want a drink at the bar. Different links to click on the same page, and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. <br/> <br/>I'd be interested to read some kind of explanation. |
| Aug 27 08:18:00 | 8h 47m | Tower of Wizard | Great graphics. I'm currently stuck on the scene with the Dragon and gold, and I can't figure it out. It is a bit too much trial and error but I think the silly humor almost makes up for it. I don't have much patience for games when I'm stuck. |
| Aug 27 08:55:00 | 37m 00s | 100-Dash Dreams | Love the graphics style and presentation. Also after I tried and failed at creating a foot step sound effect I can really appreciate how good yours was. haha I couldn't beat 10 seconds though. If the world record was ten seconds it would have made the link to the theme a bit better. |
| Aug 27 13:42:00 | 4h 47m | Cyanocide | I liked the graphics and the controls system. I love the fact you have a link to some music. What a great loop hole to get sound in your game that wasn't made by yourself in 48 hours. The music went very well with the game. <br/> <br/>I thought there was no real use of the theme. Sorry but just having a timer doesn't really count in my opinion. You could have just had "You have 10 seconds to make a kill" and a count down. and that would have been fine, plus it would have given the game a sense of urgency. |
| Aug 28 11:06:00 | 21h 24m | Biform | It didn't work for me sorry. It just wouldn't open. I'm starting to get frustrated with downloading games that don't work. Just use javascript and stick it on a webpage next time! |
| Aug 28 13:31:00 | 2h 25m | The Thief | I'm so close to liking this but there are just too many little things that annoy for me to keep playing for long. I kind of like the grahpics. Although it makes it hard to tell where the guard is looking. Why not have a go at drawing people? I've no artistic ability but I managed to make a character that at least looks like a person. It's not hard with vector art. <br/> <br/>I just found it frustrating, they always saw me now matter where they was going. I had to turn the volume down because of the footsteps sound. It sounded like the same sound over and over, perhaps you should have recorded a few footsteps sounds and changed them about. <br/> <br/>It still had something about it I liked, but I gave up really quickly mainly because of the difficulty. |
| Aug 28 16:01:00 | 2h 30m | 10 Seconds Per Meter | I liked the graphics. The sound kept freezing and was really choppy. The gameplay was really bad. I just kept being dropped on trash cans, the collision detection meant I would sometimes hit a trash can if I was really far away. My computer started making a weird noise while playing this. I checked the cpu meter and it was at 100 percent! Sorry I couldn't be more positive. |
| Aug 28 18:39:00 | 2h 38m | Super Box Boy Flies | Really charming. It probably would have been better if you had to time hitting the button right, rather than just mashing it but still great fun to play. Good sound, graphics and was original, it ticked all the boxes. |
| Aug 28 18:53:00 | 14m 00s | Defuse the Bomb in 10 Seconds! | It's nice to find a game that I can just pick up and play without having to either download or read 20 paragaph instruction manual! This is really simple and original, and fun. I like it. The other commenters have already pointed out the small flaws which could be improved upon so no point me rehashing it. Well done. |
| Aug 28 23:03:00 | 4h 10m | GIMP the Tapedeck-Operated Robot | I love original games with simple concepts and as this is one of those games, I love this! |
| Aug 29 11:04:00 | 12h 01m | 10 Second Happy Rocket | Ok I'm terrible at it but it's really good. I enjoyed the creative mode more, but the 10 second version is till good. This could end up being a really really good game, with more rocket parts and such. I hope you keep developing it. |
| Aug 29 19:52:00 | 8h 48m | Play Time's Over | Love the graphics, sound and also I thought indroducing a new rule every 10 seconds was a very interesting idea. I just stood there to watch what rules would come up, and of course they stopped. It would be unfair of me to expect an infinite number of rules, but maybe the last rule should be something that kills him no matter what. like you must not stand still, then finally you must not move right. haha. That would probably be a bit too sick for the cute graphics. |
| Aug 29 21:56:00 | 2h 04m | marble table | I must be missing something. Where is the goal? The only thing that looks like it could be the goal is the checked side of the table, and it says I die when I hit it? |
| Aug 30 13:25:00 | 15h 29m | 101 Tiles 10 Seconds | I think you're really onto something here. I really like it a lot. Although I think after the competition you need to develop it without the 10 second limit, the game should increase in length if you are quick enough. Maybe the amount of time you have to click a tile gets shorter and shorter. |
| Aug 31 19:10:00 | 29h 45m | The Lost Robos | I like the graphics, sound and general atmosphere. I think it is a good game and I might come back when I have more patience but the controls are driving me mad. I'm guessing I have to raise the shield above robo 3's head so robo 1 can jump on him, but I keep messing up because of the control system. There are so many different buttons spread alround the keyboard. You make it way more complicted then it has to be. Anyway I think it's a problem that easely fixed, then it would be fun to play. |
| Sep 1 15:49:00 | 20h 39m | The Parameters Have Been Altered | Would have enjoyed much more without the alert box popping up in the middle of each game. I can undertand having a note at the beginning saying which is the best brower but to ruin a game in the middle of it is crazy. |
| Sep 1 16:08:00 | 19m 00s | Total Spaghettification | I really liked it. I loved the music especially in practice mode. What was interesting was how much the music impacted how long I wanted to play for. The soothing atmospheric practice mode music made me want to keep playing, while the main game music made me feel a litte big agitated. It was good music still but I would have liked the practice mode music to have been the main game music. <br/> <br/>This is a game I plan on coming back to. It didn't feel too hard to me. Well done. |
| Sep 3 16:19:00 | 48h 11m | Wing | I like the graphics and it's an original idea. I think the large view would have been better if it was like looking through binoculars. I think you should be able see a little more on the large view too. But this could be very addictive with a few tweaks. Well done! |
| Sep 5 21:43:00 | 53h 24m | Ambition | I loved the graphics, and it seems interesting, but despite reading the instructions I didn't really understand what was going on. |
| Sep 6 16:54:00 | 19h 11m | Duke Dashington | Sometimes the controls felt a little bit unresponsive but everything is else was very very good. Great graphics. And very polished. Well done! |
| Sep 9 17:26:00 | 72h 32m | Get the seconds! | I'll admit I didn't really find it fun, but it's a very original puzzle idea and good use of the theme. |
| Sep 9 17:31:00 | 5m 00s | 10 Second shooting | The simplest ideas are often the best, and I think this is a really good idea. There is so much you could have done with this to make it better. |
| Sep 9 17:43:00 | 12m 00s | Ten-Second Taxi | What a shame the car couldn't reverse in the sumbitted version! I'm gonna be generous and rate the post comp version. lol It was realy good fun. I don't know if I liked the arrow though. I like the idea of having to learn the town or maybe a map screen would be good. |
| Sep 11 13:52:00 | 44h 09m | Ten Seconds | I never would have figured this out without looking at the source code, and most people will probably not give it a chance but for those who figured it out I bet it was very satisfying, like solving a riddle. Really cool idea. |
| Sep 11 14:18:00 | 26m 00s | Save the Stars! | I really like the graphics. And the music is close to being good, but is a bit too repetative. Although I still think it adds the atmosphere. A simple game, it's not gonna win any points for originality for it's gameplay but it was fun. |
| Sep 11 14:23:00 | 5m 00s | Justin Time | "It's hard, but in the way that instead of raging at the game you rage at yourself for being stupid." <br/> <br/>Haha this guy hit the nail on the head. Very funny graphics. Shame there wasn't more of an animation when it exploads. |
| Sep 11 14:29:00 | 6m 00s | 10 Seconds for Fish | I also scored over 99 and the score disappeared. I think the game has something fun about it and you could probably develop it into something better. Nice music too. |
| Sep 11 14:38:00 | 9m 00s | Escape From Homeshank | Really great graphics, I was impressed with the music too. I think the game idea is really great, although at the moment the gameplay is a bit unpolished when compared to the graphics and music. But this could end up being something very addictive. |
| Sep 11 14:46:00 | 8m 00s | Free fall | Really great graphics and I like the music. I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do and got bored. I tried interacting with objects by pushing space, only one object let me pick it up and nothing happened. |
| Sep 11 14:57:00 | 11m 00s | Robotica | Brilliant fun. I really enjoyed it. |
| Sep 12 17:32:00 | 26h 35m | Count2Ten | I got 9.920. Cool game. |
