Dec 20 04:12:00 Best Friend Got both endings! Nice use of the theme, and solid gameplay. Well done, sir.
Dec 20 04:30:00 18m 00s Glow Excellent mood, definitely evokes the theme. The part with the several small jumping blocks all in a row was quite difficult, took me a few tries. Overall nice work, especially for a first game. Keep at it :)
Dec 20 05:13:00 43m 00s LISA Well, the movement controls were not my cup of tea. But the writing in this game was exquisite; I HAD to keep on playing just to read all the notes. It fit the theme perfectly, as well as being one of relatively few games that made me truly care about the characters. Nice work!
Dec 20 05:21:00 8m 00s Abandoned Love the idea of desperately trying to find another lantern as yours starts to dim and the dark scary things close in on you. Very tense!
Dec 20 05:32:00 11m 00s Kitty Crusade The rain on the invisible ground was a very innovative and neat idea! The actual gameplay was fairly difficult; Especially in the few rainless areas. Overall, Nice job!
Dec 20 05:42:00 10m 00s My Own Universe Strong beginning, kind of short, but what is there was good, and the story was decent. I'm interested to see where this goes if you decide to continue working on it.
Dec 20 05:49:00 7m 00s Aloneman Pretty fun game, quite difficult. Nice work!
Dec 22 02:07:00 44h 18m Alone in My Head Fun game, and a neat idea. The wall-jumping felt a little unnatural, but it was fun for as far as I got.
Dec 22 02:37:00 30m 00s Minicraft Not bad at all. Don't worry about the "unoriginal" naysayers. Being totally innovative under such insane time limits is a very rare trait, especially with "make Minecraft again" echoing beside your live feed every 2 seconds. Nice effort!
Dec 22 02:55:00 18m 00s Can't Survive Alone Pretty tough game. Good job!
Dec 22 05:19:00 2h 24m Realistic Desert Survival Simulator This was actually quite fun. "I wandered around the desert for a bit, then I smashed open a cactus with a rock and drank the cactus water, then I got hungry so I ate a snake." Every part of that sentence is pure awesome. I'd love to see you what you end up doing with this.
Dec 22 05:36:00 17m 00s Deadly Robot Spree If this were an arcade game, you sir, would have a pocketful of my quarters. Simple, solid, and downright delightful to play. This is the holy grail all game developers aim for, and you have done it. Bravo! And by all means, keep up the good work.
Dec 22 05:45:00 9m 00s The Cheese Stands Alone Fun game and original concept. Well done :)
Dec 22 06:04:00 19m 00s Accident There is so much right with this game. I felt alone, I felt responsible for the friend, I loved the dark humor, and the puzzles were interesting, but not too frustratingly difficult. Kudos to you!
Dec 23 02:46:00 20h 42m Dead World Very clever idea with the server syncing. The two music tracks were hilarious! Well done!
Dec 23 03:43:00 57m 00s Not Alone Neat idea! I think a stand-alone version would make it a lot easier for more people to play your game though.
Dec 23 04:19:00 36m 00s Dungeons of Solitude "Innovation" is not some critical aspect to a fun game, especially when you know the fundamentals this well. A tried-and-true concept done very solidly, and I'd love to see you flesh this out into full fledged game.
Dec 24 19:46:00 39h 27m Outpost Alone The graphics in general, and the stars especially, looked really good! Like some of the other comments have said, I found the bullets a bit too slow, but overall a pretty decent game.
Dec 27 04:41:00 56h 55m The LD Lament Very surreal, and interesting atmosphere. I enjoyed the ending, and your commitment to the theme. Nice work!
Dec 27 05:01:00 20m 00s Cave Runner Other comments had some fair points, an ability to restart would have made it easier to try again, and it'd be good to know to jump on the ball, not run into it. That being said, I find the one-life-only choice to have been appropriate for this game. Personally I found myself playing through the entire thing many times to get "one more try" on one tricky jump, and the only having one life made it more significant and satisfying to finally succeed. It may not have been an ideal choice for this competition (I never did get to any of the "control multiple cube" levels) but it certainly makes this game a lot more substantial. This is one of the two only LD22 games that I can see myself replaying after rating it. Bravo!
Dec 27 05:15:00 14m 00s Alone and Stranded Congratulations on sticking with it and submitting your game! I found this one pretty hard to figure out, although I experimentally guessed the controls after awhile. I am sure you've learned a lot this time, and I look forward to playing your submission for the next one.
Dec 27 05:46:00 31m 00s A World Alone I was really and truly enjoying this game, it was shaping out to be a really excellent first-person adventure. However, the drone part (perfectly fun, mind, especially their talking) went far too long and was far too difficult. I suspect if throwing one drone into others caused them all to break, it would have been more manage-able, and you did imply there were other ways to defeat them, but I was unable to find any. So perhaps my lack of originality is to blame, but having to restart the countdown every time, and the sheer difficulty prevented me from finishing. My apologies if there was more afterward, and I'd have loved to play it, but as far as I got it was very well done!
Dec 27 06:05:00 19m 00s Populating_Racing The race-against-yourself, fits the theme very well, and was a good way to keep track of how much better you were doing than the previous lap. It turns out I'm really bad at this game, but that's no one's fault but mine. Nicely done!
Dec 27 06:20:00 15m 00s Loyd's Tale The level design was superb! Challenging without being frustrating. I found the birds to be more hilarious than annoying, though I can't explain why. Overall, great game, and I'd love to see it expanded into a longer game. :)
Jan 2 03:49:00 141h 29m Relativity Interesting idea, but I'd have liked to see it used in a larger variety of ways. Still, good job on what is there.
Jan 2 05:58:00 2h 09m Last breath Very unique art style, excellent level of polish and the run-from-your-shadow mechanic works pretty well with the theme. Although I found even the easy mode too difficult for me, it's possible I lack the strategic foresight to win. Overall, very well done!
Jan 2 06:24:00 26m 00s Cat Vend Hilarious theme song! Although I can't help but wonder if it's even possible to catch that cat, I right on top of it three separate times. Although I guess that's how real claw machines work too, so it's realistic at least :P
Jan 2 06:36:00 12m 00s The ghost who wants to be alone Fun game, but a bit too difficult for my ability! Good job!
Jan 8 20:10:00 157h 34m Paper Dream Very natural-feeling game. The player movement was almost hypnotic, and moving everything around without any real purpose (that I could tell) felt very appropriate. Eventually I accidentally put the Whale in the "Right place" and then tried a few of the others, but had much less luck with them. Overall though, very interesting game.
Jan 8 22:31:00 2h 21m Leave my Lettuce Alone :( Really well done game, the core mechanic was solid and original, and every time I lost I knew it was my own fault. The graphics and sound really made the rabbits, cat, and lettuce seem believable. And the mechanic where the rabbits who are alone get scared and run away was an interesting take on the theme.
Jan 8 22:57:00 26m 00s Fernands War The gameplay was solid, the graphics were appropriate, and the story... was unique and clever. Excellent work!
Jan 9 02:21:00 3h 24m People Fits the theme very well, and although it was short it used the time well. Nice job, and I look forward to seeing what you bring to the next competition.
