| Rara Racer | does an amazing job of sounding just like every terrible game video on youtube. | ||
| Only Forwards | reducing pac-man from "collect every last thing" to a flicky-style "collect this handful of things, and hold on to them til you get home" makes the game a lot faster-moving, and i like that stages are measured by how much time i take to complete them and getting caught just makes me take more time.

what frustrated me, and this might just be the game, is not reacting fast enough to pick a direction before i hit a junction, and having the game pick for me (usually poorly). i like the concept of always moving forward, though. maybe the player could always move in a consistent direction - "always clockwise," for example - by default. maybe that's how the game already is? if so, i didn't notice it. | ||
| Bulldozer Blitz | sort of like simcity with all the higher-level management stripped out. i like how neat it is: clearing a rock gives you the materials to build a road, building roads makes your city bigger, bigger cities produce more cars, more cars wear down the roads faster. (then i get overwhelmed and quit.) | ||
| Lucid State Dreaming | i read the title as this game being clearly inspired by the playstation lsd. but there is just enough consistency in that game and yume nikki for the player to grab onto that she can get absorbed in the game's anti-logic. this game is just random: everything seems to have the same effect. | ||
| Two Roads | one of the few "roads" games to not be about driving. i like that decisions are set up in the middle of couplets, and both possible choices rhyme. | ||
| GBGames – Road LOCKDOWN! | i really like the strategy that arises both from the ability to temporarily block a road and from the fact that i have to actually touch the bandit to win, not just be driving the opposite way on the same street, even if the abstraction of that may be a bit difficult to swallow. | ||
| :: RoadZ :: A bucketful of nostalgia | this reminds me of star roads, but that game has a perspective that lets me see and anticipate upcoming objects. the limited visibility of this game makes it hard to react to changes in the track. what adds to the frustration is how long it takes to start the track over. | ||
| PizzaBitch | it's crazy taxi in a griddy abstract neighborhood, but hell if i could dislike a game called PIZZABITCH. |
