LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Let's Play Simulator 2016 by zulman 2015-12-31T01:51:00

I'm a fan of management clicker games (such as Game Dev Tycoon), so I found this game quite fun. The concept is brilliant, and I'd definitely like to see more games in a similar vein (Social Media Management Simulation).

My only disappointments came from the inability to save (which is to be expected from a Ludum Dare entry), and that I was often confused as to what the 'audience' wanted to see.

I had fun, and would consider buying into a full release. :D

Quite an entertaining little game. It gives me a Gameboy Color Pokemon nostalgia, and really makes me wish for a retro hunting/survival game made in a similar manner.

The art is fantastic, and the music is great (though it gets repetitive very quickly).

I feel the controls would have been better if just JKIL was used to walk, and A + JKIL made your character sprint (though, some form of stamina would need to be implemented). Regardless, I definitely feel the two-button control theme/limitation doesn't do the game justice.

Additionally, I think it would have been helpful to see some kind of progress bar that displays how long it will take to grow/evolve.

Overall, I enjoyed it, and I sincerely hope you continue developing games! :D

Reminds me of the intro to Spore, and Agar.io. Simple, yet entertaining. Though I wish there was more to do. Also, blood splatters when consuming your kin would add to the humour of doing so -- it would make you feel that much more evil.

Congratulations on completing your first dare. :D

That's an understatement!

A clever and entertaining game, with stylishly simplistic yet awesome graphics. I do wish the upgrade shop was complete, as I feel letting people fall to their deaths had little impact. Nonetheless, I had fun. :)

Managed to score 39 (and 97 on post-Dare)! :D

An entertaining game that reminds me of Flappy Bird's rogue-scoring gameplay.

Any changes that I would have made have already been made on the post-Dare version (namely the game over screen). The audio on the post-Dare version is also hilariously entertaining, and the gradually speeding-up gameplay makes it fun to play.

Congrats on both your first game, and first dare! I hope you continue developing, and return for the next dare. :D
