LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Lobachevskii by myachin 2014-12-09T09:33:00

Wow, just wow. I love the Lobachevskii space, and a space shooter was pretty much the optimal thing you could have put in it. Both the Path and Lens were super helpful, and the timing at which you introduced things, and the gradual progression from simple to complicated tasks was perfect. I'll leave off a star on fun because it's more interesting than fun, and two for mood because "awed" is not really a mood (though the tone of the narration was nice, felt like a kind mentor)

I really like the concept, but the controls are awful. BUT you completely nailed the theme - the levels rearrange themselves! Small thing though - I managed to get stuck in the "H" in "THE", and failed to reach what I assume would have been "END".

A Very Short Age of Very Small Empires by ZYXer 2014-12-15T19:42:00

Really great achievement for the Jam. For some reason my workers just all stopped doing anything at some point, so I didn't quite finish it.

Slimey's Quest by LMT 2014-12-10T19:41:00

I really like the way you "got around" the theme with your cleverness, and the game is very clean, and has a nice progression of challenge. The music is really good, too! I was hoping to figure out what the Slimey's Quest was, though...

Baldaquin V by Marcellus 2014-12-10T19:08:00

The first impression wasn't good, but I couldn't stop myself finishing my first round and starting a second, so I guess it's good after all. I like the extra restriction idea, but with something as simple as "only triangles", the graphics could definitely have done with an extra polish at least. But you've got the theme 5/5, and it is pretty fun. Your background, while simple, had the desirable quality of fading in the background and aiding focus after a while for me, so that's nice :)

Ex Nihilo by CScribes 2014-12-09T09:14:00

Neat little number, but the controls are a bit hard for me. Also for some reason it annoyed me that the circle of light would wrap around the screen. A quick restart would have been SO much nicer though. But it was immediately easy to see what had to be done.

Snowman Factory by Rozaxe 2014-12-10T19:30:00

Looks really clean (everything you need, nothing you don't), but there's really no goal or rewards. You wished really hard that it would be the snowman theme, right? ^^

Clayball Fighter by tobyp 2014-12-15T19:31:00

@Elemental Zeal Games Studios, @Demy: Use the start script. It informs Java where to look for the Libraries it needs.

Khattraction by memilian 2014-12-09T09:27:00

Interesting concept. It doesn't do anything when I manage to hit the target though, but it's an LD; I can accept a "self-scoring" game. Really clean, simple concept, and intuitive controls, maybe a bit more feedback when changing the strength would be useful (currently you have to wait for ~1 animation loop to get a feel for the new strength)
The bottom bar was REALLY annoying whenever I had an acceptor/repulsor down there, which was any time after clicking the button to create one.

Guns & Bricks by tMalicet 2014-12-09T09:07:00

I'm not usually very good at these sorts of games, so the time seemed awfully short to me (only 15 seconds?) But i like the graphics, simple and to the point. And you even made your own intro theme :)

Microscope by johnbrynte 2014-12-10T19:47:00

Aww, that's adorable! Really like the blissful music, too. The style is very fitting, too, and it's much harder than it looks!

Dogs Peeing Everywhere by matt125 2014-12-09T09:01:00

You nailed the theme (obviously), and the graphical style and music go very well with the idea! It's not very innovative, though...
