LD23 — Tiny World

Tiny World by Andrew 2012-04-28T19:35:00

After reading other comments I was afraid that it wouldn't run, but it does. Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate w/XNA 4.0 installed.l Its a funky game to be sure. Not sure how it fits in exactly with the theme, and I think the timer goes down too fast. It was a good effort!

Add my voice to the chorus. Everything was well done and very clever! Thanks for this game!

Bunny Simulator by rylowry 2012-04-28T02:51:00

Well, at least the graphics are nice! Just wish there was more to it. Would like to see where this goes? Rabbits love lettuce and other veg. Maybe you could turn it into some kind of a maze/collect quest? Falling down rabbit holes perhaps?

WTF LEMME OUT!!! by aquasheep 2012-04-29T01:37:00

I for one was quite happy to see there was at least one text based adventure game. It fits in with the tiny theme. I'm glad you taught yourself some python too! GG.

Short, simple, but very fun to play. :) Congrats on making such a fun game in 48hrs!

Dont Touch the Button by amidos2006 2012-04-25T20:01:00

I have to agree about the comments regarding the double-tap to double-jump. It just feels weird since it gives you almost zero control over timing. Also the creature moves just a little bit too fast for a game that requires this level of precision and control. Finally, while I think the gravity is ok, it should be reduced a little bit. People sort of expect earth-like gravity. It isn't all negative. I I really like the game otherwise though, its a pretty neat concept! I am also glad that you are going to take the time to make some of these changes! Thanks for taking the time to respond to all of the suggestions and comments!

Pixel World by RevoluGame 2012-05-05T16:01:00

I enjoyed it and beat it on my first play through. I don't understand why some people had trouble reaching the last bits, yeah the jump was sort of tough, but not impossible. Strange that the world wrapped around, but also quite cool. I enjoyed the minimalistic style of the graphics. Good job!

The Battle Of Tiny Earth by Pixel Shield 2012-04-23T22:53:00

It doesn't work in Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I had to run it in compatibility mode (Windows XP SP3) for it to work. Can't say I understand what is going on either.

The Island by Skoggy 2012-04-28T02:45:00

This is probably the only LD game I am gonna be able to win. Thanks it was fun and short. I hope you have a little more time to add more stuff, other islands, other goals. Nicely done!

Fantastically fun game! Very well done!

You are the Villain by kampfdengel 2012-12-27T04:09:00

My first attempt to run the game After extracting the archive resulted in an error message
"Maps\start (The system cannot find the path specified)".
So, I opened a command prompt and tried to execute with javaw -jar game.jar

I get a blank window and music playing in the background.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 and all latest updates
Java 7 Update 9 (both 32 and 64 bit).

Hope this helps.

You are the Villain by kampfdengel 2012-12-27T13:32:00

I just tested this game in Linux Mint 14 64-bit and also encounter the Blank Window with only music playing. I Also have Java 7 Update 9. Your game is unplayable and you aren't responding to the "bug" reports.
