LD58 — Collector

Auction Antics by Dining Philosopher 2025-10-14T18:53:51Z

A good entry for the "collector" theme. I have played other jam games where you have to complete sets of objects and this one is the best I have tried so far. The fact of having limited time to get as many sets as possible instead of having to complete all possible sets is a good spin on the concept. It doesn't drag out and instead leaves you wanting to play again.

Masterpiece or Forgery by oller125 2025-10-13T21:03:16Z

This was such a good idea for the theme of this Ludum Dare! It was simple and very well implemented. I loved the humor and the attention to detail, like the pop-up hint about the middle name of the author. My only complaint is that sometimes the area that you have to hover your mouse around in order to get a hint is too small (for example with some of the wooden frames), but it was a very minor inconvenience. I had a lot of fun and wish there were more levels !

Orcs Killed My Dog by ThatmanRobin 2025-10-14T19:32:05Z

The good: The general mood and the column of particles telling you where the loot was (a small detail, but it helps a lot).

Things to improve: The lack of consequences for reaching 0 health. You could aso add a special attack for the king orc, to make it stand out more.

I kept buying the "replenish all your health" upgrades because I felt like I was cheating by walking around and killing orcs with 0 health XD

Also, what was that circle of rocks shining with a violet light? Was it a part of the gameplay I missed or just some cool decor? I tried to step inside but nothing happened.

Dinging da dung ! by Roroto Sic 2025-10-13T21:47:42Z

Very cute game. The music gets a bit repetitive, but it goes well with the mood of a gameboy game ^^

I finished level 01 in the same configuration as @orangeoceans, so thanks for updating the victory code. For me, at least, the sequence was: 1. Getting out of the starting area without moving much the ball that was there. 2. Getting both smaller balls into the aligned targets at the bottom. 3. Pushing the big ball that is up into the target on top of one of the smaller balls. 4. Going back into the starting space to push the initial big ball into the remaining target.

Doing this also left me "trapped" in the starting space. Then I was not able to finish level 02 even though I achieved this configuration:

I was also able to create a big ball inside the wall, so maybe that level is a bit buggy (pun intended hihi)

Teeth Taker by Cthulhu5227 2025-10-15T20:41:27Z

@beebster-games I had the same problem with the match minigame. Apparently it was supposed to be arrows, but in my game there were only codes like "2120" or "2123". I guess my font could not render the characters, maybe there was a way to embed a font in the game to avoid this issue?

A suspicious game by Dalanbart 2025-10-14T19:50:50Z

I laughed so hard playing this game. For a change, I stole the crib and left the baby crying on the floor. I tried to steal the guy's bed too, but it didn't fit through the door :'(

If you ever publish a post-jam version, I would love for it to have a way to rotate objects and maybe some consequences for waking up the owner (the "ohlala" is hilarious though). Maybe there could be a way to get the car keys and rob the car as well?
