Clever.
Snake already fits the theme, more or less. You constantly run into the problem where your body is eating up the space where your head could go. Make the walls close in too, and you have yourself something compelling.
The game itself is pretty fun. The mechanic is solid, it has a good educational element to it, and it feels like there's a good amount of problem solving as you get closer to the end. The space ship flying by and the astronaut near the numbers is a nice touch.
I found the layout of the numbers frustrating. I would have preferred them laid out left to right. It took until turn 9 to figure out that they were laid out in a spiral shape rather than somewhat randomly.
Overall, I give this a solid out of 10.
Short and sweet. The overall game was pleasing and frustrating at the same time. The music kept me going through the well designed levels, but the trial and error nature of figuring out which tiles are going to fall was offputting at best.
It felt like you could expand the game with a lot more levels. The mechanics were introduced properly... and then the game ended.
The orb teleports around after you kill it. I tried to do a whole lot of things with this, and it was my first time in any jam so I may have tried to do a bit too much at once.
