Definitely the most intuitive controls I've seen.

Fantastic.
Most fun so far. I haven't pressed down so much in a platformer since Rastan.
There's no game yet. Made an initial checkin just to have a stake in the ground.
x hours later and there is a bit of a game now. time to add...
Okay, pencils down. I guess there aren't any posts here, but didn't really want to get too distracted. I am very interested to see what kind of other things came out of this..
Realized the linux link was wrong.
Thanks for the feedback.
I really wanted to build around setting up ambushes but I just didn't get there. It is possible to get the drop on the guard but it's not easy - you need to go down a side corridor and turn around so your player will get him as he passes (or just leave him alone).
I wasn't sure if people would buy the time thing. The thing that takes time is if the player has to radio you for help either because of waiting for directions (tell me where to go) or giving too many directions with too many turns (won't be able to remember).
Window size and randomness on the other hand - I didn't realize people would *like* the maze being as big as possible - I just cut the size down and kept the same random seed so I could play the game faster and more consistently...
Interesting error, looks like it didn't like the shader I used to filter?
As per contest rules I've post facto made a Web port a la processing.js. It is the same game only with new bugs due to processing.js not being exactly the same as Processing. Still, it works...
Nice mechanic, there is pressure but opportunity to plan ahead at the same time.
java -jar bit-shipforludum.jar

Nicely put together. Really gets the theme.
