LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

holy crap what a cool idea
host this forever pl0x

reminds me of that one web drawing game that got super popular awhile back... the one where you had to draw what the last person described, and then someone described your drawing, etc etc... yeah, that one

I didn't like the interface too much. It is pretty creative and mechanically interesting to use, but gameplay-wise it felt pretty tedious. The music was off-putting as well. The visual design, on the other hand, was amazing, and the enemies are very disturbing. Great job on that!

a fun little game. impressive for being pure javascript done over a weekend. liked the bumper physics! i agree with SineGlitch though, a little music would go a long way.

Parse The Sky by dustyroom 2015-12-15T07:45:00

very calm and relaxing experience. could have done without any collectibles, in my opinion, because getting used to the controls is fairly difficult and didn't feel very natural. still though, it's a beautiful game to just glide around in.

Wizard Vs Warlock by Lafolie 2015-12-15T08:10:00

fun game to play with a friend. keeping the spreadsheet open on the side is a must for beginners, haha. it's actually pretty fun to learn while playing, and to find a spell you want to use within the time limit. would be interesting to see more variety in spell interactions, but that's a too much to expect out of a weekend game.

i think it's best summarized as pokemon meets magicka. a solid entry, especially for having local multiplayer which you hardly ever see.

Cyberfunk by merzlot 2015-12-15T07:24:00

fun rhythm game! really enjoyed watching him blast the bad dudes :D the music was perfect for the theme as well, it felt very... robotic? to play, and had good variety as well.

Harry The Unusually Happy Worm by Cruzer_AU 2015-12-15T04:24:00

currently my favorite LD34 game! it just has such a great charm to it, the art style & music especially... i love the open-world exploration which you don't really see too much. as Krafty said, turns feel a bit too wide, but that's my only complaint.

BitBit Revolution by Ka-Wiz 2015-12-15T08:30:00

i agree on both points! of the zeroes, that is. i started this as a joke, like "haha, what if there was a 2-button DDR?" but after i gave it a theme and an enemy character i got kinda into it and slapped it together at the last minute. this is definitely an 8-hour game, not a 72-hour game, haha. i would've liked to add more visual flashiness but i waited too long!

recognize the audio from http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/dudefalling but that just made it funnier. good description, tried a bit with a running animation... doesn't try to be anything other than what it is.
