LD42 — Running out of space

Congratulations, this is one of those games I did not want to stop playing. It's super addicting and I want more! I enjoyed the art style a lot and while it could use some balancing/polish (It was made in 48 hours after all), I think it could serve as a prototype for an excellent mobile game. Great work!

Nice concept! I love the combination of the "launching" mechanic with the kind of cookie clicker-esque income management system. I also feel like this idea of satellites in orbit really hits the theme on the nose. I'd love to see some other space obstacles with different flight patterns to mix things up a bit or maybe not ending the game when you run out of money rather than when you lose a satellite? All in all, definitely a lot of potential here!

Beautiful game with a lovely atmosphere! The English could use a little work, but great job guys!

Super awesome entry you have here! I love the concept and I think the execution was spot on. I can totally see this being an addictive time waster on the mobile marketplace. I'd recommend maybe removing the timer and focusing on making the puzzles engaging (since that's where this game really shines)? Good job and I hope you continue to develop this project!

Awesome job! The tutorial is AMAZING! It serves as a fantastic exposition for your game and I found it not only educational, but quick and funny too. That is SO important when people are rating/playing a bunch of these jam games back to back.

@oriondark7 Thanks for the feedback! I'm sorry you found the input kind of "mushy" if you will, but that was sort of intended (for better or for worse haha). It was an early design decision we made to make staying on the tiles a little more challenging, but we do wish we had had a bit more time to make it feel just right. If you get a chance, we strongly suggest you try playing with an xbox/ps4 controller and a couple friends!

@fizzpowmike1 @plepletier Thanks for trying the game out! It seems like there are quite a few people out there that would prefer the input be a little more responsive haha. I'll bring that up with the team and maybe we'll submit some tweaks for all of you :v:. I hope you guys give it another shot when we do (and with a gamepad if you have one)!

@darkguardsman Thanks for giving the game a try! If you get a chance to play with a couple friends, let us know how it goes! We find that we have the most fun in our office with 4 people and a few gamepads.

@tomeks it's a completely made up word haha. You could interpret "Bjorp" to be the game the vikings are playing or perhaps the kingdom in which they live. The lore is sort of up in the air haha. Thanks for the feedback!
