LD46 — Keep it alive

Tower Defence of the Heart by terry 2020-04-22T01:54:06Z

Thoroughly enjoyable from the perspective of someone that gets too stressed out trying to play RTS games. The ability to sell back units at full price feels really unique, and trying to grasp the changes from one upgrade to another make experimenting feel fresh, even though I would like a bit more direct feedback about certain differences between damage values sometimes. It makes me think of the design behind the Machine Masters in Mega Man, where you have ample room to test things out and see what's most effective where, but you still have to work to get to the ideal testing environment. Thank you for your hard work!

In A Game Wherein by SSStormy 2020-04-21T01:43:34Z

2nd person narratives are very difficult to pull off, but when they are done in a satisfying manner, I think they can offer a weirdly personal experience that you can't find in ones of 1st or 3rd person. The problem with 2nd person narratives that I always find is in their tone getting very tiresome very quickly; it's like being told how to feel, and if that goes on too long, it's hard to engage with. This experience is perfectly paced for that and was thoroughly inventive. Thank you for your hard work.

Mad Antimatter Mania by Draschel 2020-04-21T01:49:03Z

It's this teetering mixture of surrealist comedy and guttural mechanical adrenaline that keeps me so interested in this game. While I do think the sound can be a bit of a blob at times, with the background music and "backseaters" obscuring the jumping SFX and the antimatter noise, the mood the audio and visual style creates is really something else. It's the best headache I think I could get, and I mean that in the most positive way possible! Thank you for your hard work.

PRO DVD PLAYER by Brian Teng 2020-04-21T01:51:56Z

The decision to make the majority of the experience hidden behind a warning is a bold one. I originally thought it was for bug purposes, but when a friend suggested I try it, I was quite impressed at the dedication to such a strong mood. Bouncing a screensaver around is certainly not the most fun thing to do, but the way it was woven into the world your game creates was unlike anything else. Thank you for your hard work.
