Got to level 5 and got a bit lost ;) Nice level generation! Good varied mazes. Its cool that you went with level-shifting but unfortunate that there's no reason to go back up to top level so that the level changes its layout (at least as far as I got.)
Player movement feels pretty awkward, sadly - the way you don't turn instantly feels off with WASD controls. No real difficulty curve either as far as I experienced? Maybe later on if I had stuck with it? But yeah time constraints I imagine :)
The zombie noises made me smile :D
My favourite game so far! Beat level 04 a couple of times, tried 5 a few times and couldn't get past :P have kept GattoMagico on my harddrive though (unlike rest of the LD games I've tried so far!) so maybe that will change!
This definitely has that flappy-bird-factor haha, extremely frustrating but really addictive. Getting your swaps down perfectly is incredibly satisfying. Doing it consistenly is extremely challenging.
Honestly my only criticism would be to streamline the menu. 'Continue' should be the first option (the number of times I went back to level01 because my downarrow wasn't registered in the menu...) in fact you really should be able to retry a level with one buttonpress - a game like this definitely needs that to counter frustration!
Anyway thanks for a great game! Played for a solid hour and I'll probably go back to it in future! Can I ask how many levels there are in total?
6588km. Fun game! It took a while for me to get a feel for the mechanic (especially without a numpad! Maybe having NM,HJKYUI as an alternative binding would have been good) but I got pretty into it after that. The fact that rocks damage you if you touch them felt unintuitive, maybe replacing them with a fire effect or something would have been better.
The first time God tried to slam me with his staff I laughed out loud. Overall I really enjoyed it! Great job!
Fun little game, felt like playing Sokoban, which is good! As others have mentioned, the small rectangle moves the same amount as the standard square I believe, instead of moving the same amount as its' size, meaning it can become out-of-sync with the end goal.
More & more challenging levels are necessary of course, along with audio. To improve the gameplay I think maybe have a "do the level in the perfect number of moves" mechanic, especially when the levels becomoe more complex. Like 'Quell' on mobiles.
Congrats on the nice submission :) Good luck expanding it further!
Got to the endscreen - was pretty fun :) The art makes me smile. Had no idea how to interact with the shopkeepers for ages!
Good job on the solid platforming. I didn't see the frog though D:
Very lovely. Got stuck on a level though, when you go through some tight spikes underwater and there are enemies straight after. Idk, I tried a few different approaches but wasn't sure what to do. Dying in this is very frustrating since movement is slow and it's such a mellow feeling world and this just kinda put me off working through it in the end. Really lovely sketch art & animations, though, and you set the atmosphere very well.
Fun little game! Didn't have any troubles with difficulty as others have commented. Made me laugh a few times :) Love the moon animation.
Ahh sorry! There's a cooldown timer in the bottom right but I didn't get around to making it more obvious :( Thanks for the comment :)
Ack! I just tested the start button and it totally doesn't work! It worked in the editor grrr maybe I uploaded the wrong file. I think I'll try to smooth out some stuff and add a keyboard control option tomorrow, maybe package mac and linux versions also. Thanks for the feedback!
Pretty fun! I especially like seeing the black shapes competing with you to eat stuff and how ominous the giant black shapes can be when they come in from off-screen :D
Overall I gotta copy ito123456789; smoother graphics and some sounds would make it very replayable!
Pretty nice, you seem to have put quite a bit of work into this! The fact that enemies move so fast and randomly is a big part of the difficulty. Not sure if I like that or not, honestly. It does feel pretty irritating and I stopped playing after quite a short time because I didn't feel invested enough to work through the kinda irritating mechanics.
Still an impressive amount of work though! Shapeshifting was cool and being able to use other enemies' abilities gave it some real meaning.
