I played several round but didn't get very high scores. I really like the 'game feel': it's fun to shoot, to bump the ball and there are many things to aim for in the pinball machine.
I couldn't figure out how am I supposed to aim my guns at the ball. They seem to miss often and I can't figure out the reason why.
I also found some technical issues with the game. Shooting too quickly causes performance to drop in the web version. And the ball keeps going off screen when I smack it, so I guess I have to be very gentle with it. 😅
@woona You don't really aim them. They always shoot where they're pointing so you just line em up. Except for one of the characters that actually keeps always aiming at the balls.
I really liked how juicy the game felt, but I found the controls a little frustrating (I have never been good at this type of game, to be honest, nothing wrong on your part). I got a score somewhere in the 10k range, can't remember.
funny game! reminds me of jackboot with familiar art style
One word : juicy. Really good looking, good music, a good pinball gameplay. Geat job !
A fun twist on classic pinball! The shooting mechanics and multiplier system add an interesting layer of strategy, making the game engaging and replayable. The old-school arcade feel fits the theme, although the connection could be stronger.
Great art style and animations! I has some slowness and music was lost at some point. Overall fun take on the pinball genre and totally full of potential to be something bigger. Well done!
Great cartoon visuals and fun music and sound effects! I enjoyed clicking around to let the, emm, yellow fuzzy buddy with two arms point at that place. Fun to play and I got myself onto the leaderboard. Nice to have some competitions, thx for your really polished game. I think this has the potential to be a party game. My trick to this is to get the ball stuck somewhere narrow, and seems like I can cheat some points from that.
pin.png I haven't quite figured out all the bonuses yet, but I really like how the game feels and looks!
P.S. I changed my name, but the leaderboard still shows me as Anon 🤔
I love getting to play your games every Ludum Dare. I always look forward to it, and this one didn't disappoint! You always put so much love and polish into your entries. I absolutely love this one.
Great work, almost nothing bad to say about it other than maybe its too chaotic/confusing at times (especially at first).
Great job!!
@aterim You gotta set your name before you submit the score.
Hi, nice take on a pinball! Liked the graphics and music. My potrato pc starts lo lag when effects come to live. Also sound resets every time. Nice entry!
@vorondesan Yea, it seems the volumes don't actually save when changed at the main menu but only through the esc menu when in the actual game scene.

The game looks gorgeous! Curious to go see and learn how you made the sun's arms work, as I haven't tried something like that before. I also hadn't thought of manually putting a little full-screen button in there, nice touch!
The game itself was hard, I had a bit more success if I just sat back a bit and let the ball do its thing. I found if I tried to bump it sometimes it's just instantly go careening off a wall and into the pit... I definitely want to try again later. Thanks!
@mikeware It's very basic inverse kinematics. The limb consists of three points: hand, elbow and shoulder. You start from the elbow position and move the hand point to the goal position. Then to make it a bit simple, you pull back the elbow to it's locked position constraining the elbow position according to the arm/forearm lengths (and maybe even pulling back the hand if the goal position is too far). Loads of tutorials out there for it, it's pretty fun (and not all that complicated) thing to implement yourself.
Thanks for the breakdown @antti-haavikko! Yeah, I figured it was something like that, I'll definitely have to find a project at some point where I can rig something up and learn.
stunning visuals and groovy musics ! hard but great and fun game !
@mikeware Oh yeah, really recommended. I use IK limbs literally on every project and it makes animating characters simple. Like in this, the animating (not counting the staff and the hat) is basically just moving 5 different points around and the IK systems handles the rest and keeps it natural looking and not stiff.
@antti-haavikko that's super slick. I'm curious how you get the body parts to all be fluid and look connected with the one continuous outline. Is the character a single polygon or something whose vertices are tied to the bones/joints? It'd be great to see a little mini-tutorial or something about how you build one of these on your YT channel. Thanks for all the information! It's super valuable to learn new things from folks here on what's possible!
@mikeware It's just layering. So it's five different lines, one for body and all limbs but all of them are drawn twice. First on the bottom with more thickness as black to achieve the outline and then another thinner ones on top for the filling.
You inspire me to make better games! Unfortunately, I suck at your game, so I’d rather not rate it. 😆
Really cool entry!
I really liked the effects and visual style of the game, very flashy and exciting! It all looked very clean and polished as well, with a solid visual direction.
One improvement to the game would be a little bit more clarity in feedback for the player. It just felt like I only had to spam left and right click and keep the ball stuck in a corner, and the visual effects made it hard to see what was going on and whether I was doing well or not, despite the ball staying in play.
