The art is great, and playing the game feels great as well. But I didn't really know what to do. I have added some cole the ship and then kind of got lost on what I needed to do. Great entry though.

The art direction here is super great, the music is very nice, and the gameplay loop is solidly fun! I especially appreciate how nice the movement feels and the ability to look out into the ocean further when up by the wheel. This was a very fun time that I would be interested in playing more, however running into two separate bugs on two separate playthroughs prematurely stopped my game:
- Jumping off the ship softlocked me, keeping me trapped in the ocean. This one was mainly my fault, though a barrier or a game over screen here would be nice. - I put two pieces of food on my head when only one table was available. This seemed to later cause no more tables to ask for food (despite the people being hungry) and leaving me unable to pick up more food or interact with anything else on the ship.
I also ran into a more minor bug surrounding jumping and climbing that left me unable to jump until I went back down a ladder.
Besides the bugs, I do wish it was more clear how much payroll each employee costs. Is it the same as how much it costs to hire them initially?
Thank you for this game! Would be very interested in trying again after a bugfixing pass.
I see someone else jumped off the ship, too. :-) Apart from that, I had a lot of fun. The art is great and the gameplay is solid.
:) Wow, lot's of polished systems here! Very well executed, and fun to play! Nice little minigames to keep me moving around. Great music and sounds--idk why but that bum, bum, bum, bum, buuuuuuuum piano chord sequence really struck a "chord" with me! Stupid pirates, I need those boxes!
This was fun!
Like others I immediately fell off the ship. And I also would like to know what the recurring cost of each crew member is.
The art fits well together (nice job with the water as well), as does the music, and game itself is decently fun to play! I did find it difficult to fight the pirates at times because I found it a little hard to tell when I could actually hit them and when they could hit me - I wonder if even just a simple little punching animation would have helped with that. Once I could afford Marines that became less of a problem though!
I thought it was a good concept with fun mechanics. However, I found the gameplay a bit confusing, as it wasn't always clear what tasks needed to be done perhaps the UI markers aren't visible enough (they should stand out more). It would also be helpful to have a list or some text, based indicators showing the tasks to be completed and their respective priorities. Aside from that, I think it’s a great piece of work, congratulations! xD
