I went into this having no idea how Blackjack is played, so I did a quick bit of Googling, and felt like I got the hang of it before too long - so, if nothing else, it was an educational experience!
I really liked how swish the movement of the cards was - that honestly goes a long way in a game like this. However, the question hovering over it all - for me, at least - was "why, though?". I wasn't really sure what the point of the enchanted cards was, when the core game seemed to work fine without them.
Neat implementation of Blackjack. I did a Solitaire on the second day because I wanted to make some card game as well and figured it needed some goal to collect cards. Didn't know the rules until yesterday either. ^^'
I definitely agree that moving the cards around feels smooth!

@john-gabriel This is a deck-building game, so it's about creating the best deck possible. "Collecting cards" if you will :)
Without enchanted cards, Blackjack is statistically a losing game. But with enchantments such as 'Multiplier' and 'Freebie' it changes the statistics to make it more likely that you will win. What's optimal? That's the game!
Similarly, you can modify your deck with spells by destroying and duplicating your cards, further changing what you (and the dealer) are more likely to draw! Duplicating enchanted cards is how you really start snowballing (Freebie is the most powerful)

Interesting idea, but also quite some time you need to put in there for a decent deck. I bought an enhanced card, but the computer got it :) Also, I was able to drag the flipped cards about.
The card flying is spot on! It just misses the proper swish sounds.
I think this is a super neat idea! i really like the concept and having multipliers and free hands on cards is pretty fun. Unfortunately the deck is shared between the dealer and the player which means the dealer benefits as well when you add more 10s and aces. Also i think the game does not scale to fit other resolutions so some things seem cut off on my computer. I hope you expand on this idea in the future cause id love to play a full version!

Really cool spin on the genre. Could see that working out in a full game. Was fun playing around, trying to ban as many cards as possible.
gambling with special abilities, nice idea, but I've lost all money despite of good abilities :D
Fun little game. Having your health and your money being the same thing is interesting but led to a death spiral when I played. Didn't have enough money to make my deck better and the computer kept winning. May have just been bad luck on my part. The computer got three blackjacks in a row, I kept drawing face cards when hitting on a 12 or 13, and none of the more powerful cards I bought ever showed up.

I loved the depth of the mechanics and the number of different card effects.
Very cool! I loved Balatro! If you evolved this and made it into a commercial game (especially on mobile), I would buy it instantly!
Super addictive!
thats really good! i love this idea

@theoconfidor Thanks for the kind words. Definitely planning on developing this further for Steam release in the near future :)!
Good game! I tryna get 40000 without any extra card. Totally a gambler now hahaha!

Interesting idea even though I feel the theme is a bit stretched out here  but I do get the "collecting card" behind that so all good  It's unfortunate that you did not manage to add audio. I believe the graphics would have also loved one more art pass. Apart from that, the gameplay is solid and it's easy to pick-up as long as you know how blackjack works Grats!
