Crashes out my browser when tried to run on itch
Took me a long time to figure out what to do with the cannon :stuck_out_tongue:
@dstoc thank you for the feedback, thi sis valuable! I played the cannon part sooooo many times I felt it to be too clear what to do... Maybe I replace the first lever with a cannon + target, so it is more clear what to do?
Thank you for checking my game :)
@yohadams sorry to hear this! What browser you are running and at what point it crashes? These infos might help me to pinpoint the issue :)
There's some weirdness with mouse sensitivity in your web export - if I don't full screen it during the loading bar, I can't look down while in the game, and the cannon is moving painfully slow.
I like the starting, it gives some good taste of narrative, and the level fits the theme very well - getting deeper and deeper - depths.
However, I think more work might be required for the game to meet the metric of fun and innovation.
@argensis thank you for the feedback! I definitely had hard time with the exports changes for input speeds; in the Unity editor the mouse was good, but in the web export it was lightning fast. Then I reduced the sensitivity, and the web export felt good, but now the editor was super slow :'D
Cannon is slow by design, but maybe I should take another look at it.
@yohadams after a very long debug session I was able to find out what was wrong; for some reason Unitys web export on higher quality caused a build, which does not work on some PCs.
I was able to fix this crashing issue, so now it should be in playable state :) Thank you for letting me know!
Interesting concept, it is a shame the game is so short so we can't see a bit more (the only part where the player truly plays atm is with the canoon, which is not much). The 3D animations are quite good. I found the lack of music disturbing and some sound effects not quite on point though. Considering you worked alone on this, you did a great job.
Some loud audio it starts but ok, I would add on top the task what to do sometimes it is not clear with a gun for example where to shoot. Check my game (and rate it) and you'll see what I'm talking about. You need more clues in your game.
It's very short, but enjoyable. The web version worked fine for me. I do like the concept and the the revel in the end and the basic mechanic of changing water level is somewhat similar to my entry, actually. Sound design i would rate us Hoo and Huh out of ten :-). I kind of was disappointed a little that cannons don't do sound like brrr or ptish. Also some collisions on grey rocks were a little strange/junky on a web version.Снимок экрана 2025-04-11 в 21.35.58.png
Neat entry. I'm curious what could lie in depths below this strange world. Levers ditching water gave Myst vibes. On first playthrough, it seems I cut corners and wasnt using left cannon at all.
Thank you @gdman, I'm happy to hear the environment gave mystic vibes, that was my goal! Have to check what is up with the cannon :D
