the game is overall nice, but hard to build a team with all these buffs. good job making this in 3 days! :D

Racing as a swarm is such a great idea, but think some improvements can be made. Being able to see further down the track would help, every turn is a surprise. The zigzaggy corners really mess with the swarm's idea of staying away from the walls automatically. It tends to feel a lot like you're watching the swarm, not controlling it.
Thanks a lot for playing and commenting, you two ^^ Thanks for the kind words, we are aware that there is still a lot that could be done to improve our game. We understand it as a prototype for an idea my friend had on a walk in the woods. We are happy with how the game ended up altogether, but the wall-avoidance algorithm really cannot handle zigzaggy course layouts that well + the camera could indeed use some improvement.
- For wheelsx's point with watching the swarm instead of controlling it: the swarm really can feel like a creature with its own will sometimes which you are merely directing, but this increases sharply when you use few blue butterflies and a lot of yellow bugs. It can help to do the opposite. - Like RoTob pointed out, it is a real challenge to build a good swarm, but we felt like it also encourages experimenting and coming back to the game.
So both your addressed points were intended to somewhat extent. Thanks for your feedback and for playing the game, we hope you had fun ^^

I really liked the idea of essentially building your racing "vehicle" from individual parts that actually have a physical effect on the handling. It felt super cool being able to experiment with different builds and doing things like all-in on speed or all-in on collision avoidance. I didn't mind the narrow vision area so much - it was a good test of reflexes, but I felt it quite frustrating that loosing the swarm on level two kicked me back to the first level. I wish there was a level select or just restarting on the same level without a complete reset. But other than that really well done and very innovative!
Good point with the levels selection/checkpoint, maybe we'll do a postjam patch with that soon
Thanks a lot, appreciate the feedback
