hungry bob one love
The controls are fun, and it's satisfying to chomp down on the bugs, but the game gets pretty repetitive pretty quickly, to be honest.
I player for 1 minute and there are no changes. I assume there is no further content, but it felt good
Interesting idea and cool art, but it seems like the "catch action" doesn't always work.
Good, but very repetitive
Simple but addictive gameplay! 😄 Controlling your hand and catching bugs is fun, especially when you manage to eat them in one go. The art style adds charm to the game and it really leaves a positive impression. I would like more variety so that the game doesn't become monotonous, but overall a great job for Jam! 🍃
I had a little trouble figuring out the controls at first, because I tried grabbing the bugs by holding space, and releasing the bugs by releasing space (instead of pressing space again). Maybe there could be more indication to show when you're holding a bug? The game could also use a difficulty ramp of some sort.
Otherwise though, the game is oozing with style! I love the beat, the fabric cutout monster, and the dynamic face.
It would be good to have more / faster bugs. If you could see the bug in his hand it would be clearer that you're holding a bug, that way you don't try grabbing a second bug like I did without eating the first.
When I noticed I had already spent 4 minutes chomping bugs. You got me hooked! Congratulations on your compo submission!
Gameplay are simply but addictive. Nice idea!!!!
I like this game.It is addictive. Simply gameplay, funny art.I advise you to diversify the actions in the game
Love the art and simplicity! It would've been nice if timer was ticking backwards, so that the game finishes when the player reaches the end and not when they decide it was enough bugs eaten :) And then you could finish the game with a loud burp sound once the timer finishes
Simple but works well! Would love to see an increase in difficulty, or a way to win maybe? Something so that it doesn't get too repetitive
Really cool idea! I like hungry bob, and how fluffy he is! The cockroaches seemed to always follow the same path and the paths never changed so all you need to do is hover your hand by the T-junction and it's just a case of moving up, feeding Bob and then moving back down to grab the new cockroach that has arrived by then. Nice and simple idea though!
