Great visual novel quality, capybara is neat!
I didn't get all the endings, but I need more garbanzo in my life.
HTML5 version wanted to be WAY bigger than my monitor. I had to go into fullscreen mode to make it smaller, but it kicked me back out to windowed mode when I had to enter my name.
I like how the four gods you picked are in direct conflict with each other. Ares wants war and Dionysus wants love. Heph wants technology and Artemis wants nature.
There were a few bugs with the sprites. The ones I found are: - During the section where you talk with the four gods before you actually create the planet, when you choose a god to talk to it would briefly flash "Image '(god name)' not found". - Carbon, Water, Heat -> Add worms -> Leave things as is: Dionysus' sprite disappeared and it says "Image 'dionysus neutral' not found" - Heat, Carbon, Water -> Give the aggressive species tools -> Smite the aggressive species: The speaker is Artemis, but the warning label says "Image 'ares' not found". This happens for several textboxes.
There were some issues with the text in the Heat, Water, Carbon -> Give the carnivores tools route. The text fell to the bottom of the screen. There were also a few typos here and there, I can talk about it if you would like.
There are many funny moments in this game! My favorites include "sexually charged sentient pieces of coal", the disco party ending, and the ending where Garbanzo ends up as a god.
Overall a pretty nice visual novel!
Nice job, love that you've managed to put in so many different endings!
Also I really appreciate that you had the time to even sculpt humanoids, although their eyes do creep me out just a bit
hahaha very cool game I like your idea
I worked through the cold this weekend too! Keep fighting the good fight! The characters were really cool. Had a real Gumby vibe!
I'm scared of the art! I haven't seen a Ren'Py game on here before, and the choices were pretty interesting. I liked that there was a variety of characters (and a capybara?) each with their own wants. Can't please them all. Good work on the game!
Renpy is always respected for Jams! Yeah, first I thought it is a Horror game:) 36 endings is great job! I would love to see my choices in details
Interesting game. I like the idea of sculpting your own world. The characters have a sort of "claymation" like quality to them that is also unique. Nice work!
Hi! I’ve come with some feedback as well. I like this style of presenting the visual novel. I also love how the characters look as if they were made with clay. Great job!
A very interesting idea, and a surprising amount of options and content for how much time we had to work with. The art is a little unsettling at times, but you did well with the time you had, especially when fighting a cold. Keep at it.
I played a couple of endings, sometimes accidentally making the wrong god happy according to what I was planning, but since the play time between first choice and end was rather short, it didn't matter too much that it sometimes was hard to predict the outcome of the options.
I also noticed that the web version was larger than my screen, but the full-screen mode seemed to solve that. The game presented some warnings at various occasions too in the upper left corner.
The capybara was the natural star of the game for me. Very good inclusion. If I'd critique the pacing, the introduction phase was rather long until I got to interact with the world. I get the point of introducing the gods first for me to form an impression and liking/disliking. But perhaps it could have been made really short and instead allow us to design several worlds rather than one, getting to know them from their reactions rather than having to reload the game to try different paths.
Nice game, i like the concept, the idea realization, keep going!
Cool game, nice concept
really unique and relaxing, i like it. i don't think the talk before designing a planet is that necessary, the personalities can be shown during the designing process
