This was a trip - I wasn't quite sure what to do, kind accidentally figured out after a while that you have to hold the interact button. There did not seem to be much to see beyond putting up these big boxes, but keep going and exploring, nice work :)

@binaryspark normally, a white cat (skeleton) should slowly build the buildings (10 seconds each), after 5 minutes of days (maybe a little long) enemies will appear from the right and left portals to attack the base, so you have to build walls, summon cat zombies in adapted buildings etc.

I was too busy to make animations or a tutorial unfortunately, most of the visuals you see were done in 4 hours before posting. I will do a written tutorial maybe today, and I forgot now that I think about it, of a way to lose (the base has infinite hp and the players too)

Je me permets de répondre en français comme tu l'as fait sur notre jeu, en tout cas très impressionnant ce que tu as fait en 24h ! On ressent bien l'inspiration kingdom (two crowns ou autre). Comme indiqué par d'autres commentaires j'ai mis aussi un peu de temps à comprendre qu'il fallait maintenir le bouton pour interagir, même chose pour les coffres. En tout cas bravo pour si peu de temps c'est un très beau résultat :clap:

I think for the game jam, the world is a bit big and there isnt enough feedback on when the enemies spawn and interacting with objects. A written tutorial with more info would go a long way at least for this jam to leave less people confused. With that said, interesting inventory system for sure and I do like the graphics!

It was kinda hard to figure out what to do in the beginning but once reading the comments and knowing I have to hold the button it was pretty fun! It also looks great and you can be proud of what it turned out to be. Well done!

I also didn’t understand anything at the beginning, then I realized that I needed to hold the button.

Buildings began to be built, but the coins ran out. And it’s not clear where you can get them. Thanks for the game

Nice game, I really liked the graphics too. Although not having the in game tutorial was a hit to the game, since there were important mechanics to be discussed. I'm aware you said you did not have enough time to do that, so here's to hoping you get to do everything necessary in your next jam. Anyways, job well done!

I think you just went too big with your idea and wasn't able to finish it properly. Adding even a little in-game context of what's supposed to happen would help a lot, and some basic sound effects could have made the collecting and building mechanics more enjoyable.

I like the low-poli buildings, tho. Good effort

The parallax effect was a nice touch, adding some depth to the visuals. But hey, where'd the audio go? Seemed like it was missing in action. Definitely caught some Kingdom game vibes in there (in the name too), which is cool for a jam. Liked the day/night cycle. I noticed some AI acting a bit wonky at times. But hey, bumps in the road happen.

Overall, solid entry!

I didnt have enemies spawn in until I went to explore very far to the west, when I found the portal that enemies are meant to come out of - then one enemy did spawn and kill me! I think maybe the portals are too far away and inactive because of that distance?

@kimday merci ! un peu tard ma réponse mais trop de chose a faire. J'ai corrigé aussi un bug de dans l'interaction des objets et créé un tuto, un peu tard x) merci encore !

@lachlan-james thank you! dont have time for audio and dont have the talent to do it, so all the script for the audio is in game, but without song x), i need to work again on the ai for next time, its my big problem, Ai wandering when is night, etc

@frankiesmileshow the two first night is peacefull (i wanted one but bug and second same), at 70% of the day, ennemies spawn and should be at you base at midnight. the portal protect himself by spawning a monster if you to close (for a futur attack system of the kingdom)
