Took me a bit to actually figure out the actual summoning bit. The platforming was alright, but gliding around everywhere made it difficult to parkour and dodge bullets. Though, I did notice you added coyote jumps, nice touch =) Also, pretty cool to introduce that you can build platforms for the dog to walk on.
I love the MS-DOS style colors :P
For me it was a little bit hard to control the character. Cool style!
The game feels very "homemade", kudos to you for writing your own engine! I like the platforming + summoning combo. It can get pretty hard to focus both on jumping and placing my own platforms sometimes. Good job on submitting!
The progress bar at the right felt a little bit confusing, loved the slippery controls, although sometimes it felt like it registered some random movement. This game made as a rage game and the falling from levels like "Get over it" or "jump king" would be an absolute hit. Also i would've loved to block those Angel's projectiles. Nice job!!
A very unique game, reminds me of Jump King. You handled the jump-feeling very well, looking forward to your next game!
I noticed the weird random movement on the web build in particular. I'll have to dig in to things and try to fix it. Thanks for playing!
I'm taking a look at Jump King now. I'd never heard of it before but I definitely see the resemblance!

I like the mechanic you've established. The idea could be used to create some wacky puzzles.
Jumping with the character felt a bit floaty and I found the mouse-controls a bit awkward. But that's mainly because I'm currently on a laptop with a touch-pad. I'm quite sure the game feels much nicer with a proper mouse!
Keep up the good work!
Definitely a bit floaty. I think I got used to it during development and forgot to change it lol.
Thanks for playing all the way to the end!
Always wanted to write my own engine, never actually done it. Great work!
I liked the mechanic, but the platforming was quite difficult for me, and I couldn't get past the level with the angels shooting. I thought placing the blocks could block the bullets so I could focus on platforming, but it did not.
Specifically with platforming, I think the acceleration was too fast which makes it hard to be precise, especially if since the block you have is not wide (evening if you can place multiple of them). Perhaps lowering the max speed could help with that. Another suggestion is to also allow the arrow keys (not just wasd) to control the player, my right hand might have been able to do the platforming better. On the level where I died, input also seemed to be delayed (perhaps html5 too many updates or something is not performant?), which also made it hard to do the platforming.
keep up the good work!
Decent game, it's cool to see something made with C and SDL. The mechanics of placing the dog and the box felt strange until I realized that it places on mouse _up_ instead of mouse _down_, which I think is somewhat unconventional. It would also have been nice to have some audio.
Neat game that makes you use the summons (rock and doggo) to pass obstacles and platforming challenges. Satisfying to reach the end, but I kind of felt like more levels would be nice (though its understandable considering the time limit). Good work!
