It was fun and challenging. Sometimes I had a hard time figuring out how the gravity was going to turn next.

Really cool concept! I love how the background changes direction too, when you switch gravity! Chonky sounds and nice relaxing music that is somehow tense at the same time - very fitting for a puzzle game.
I also liked the simple pixelart.
I must admit that I didn't get too far in the game... I have trouble telling left from right and when everything is backwards and upside-down I get super confused. The last level that I played had a bunch of the blue smiley-squares in a box.
One thing I wasn't really able to figure out was what direction will be next when I hit spacebar. I know it is influenced by the proximity to walls, but it still didn't really behave for me. Sometimes it seemed random and that was frustrating. Maybe there could be some sort of indicator on the robot or somewhere else on the screen.
Overall it was a cool game. I enjoyed the time I spent in it :) Hope you had a nice jam.
@im-not-a-robot The gravity turns towards the direction the player is facing, which is indicated by the pointy thing on the front of the robot
The sideways controls were a little difficult because nothing really felt right, so I decided for horizontal gravity, right arrow is up and left arrow is down. That's probably the thing I would most want to improve if I were to do it again :)
Good idea, the controls are a bit complicated
It's quite an interesting idea but the controls are pretty complicated, like it's hard to tell which direction the character will turn when you fall or when you have to switch gravity quickly. But overall it's a fun and neat game!
Great game! Good job for making this with LWJGL only
Nice one! Good music and graphics. Limited number of space bar hits is a good dad joke! I think more mid-air gravity switches would be fun :)
Fun game! And I particularly like this kind of interpretation of the theme =D
I don't know if that's good or not, but being fast enough you can win many levels just by changing the direction of gravity mid air. As this does require some skill, I don't think that's a problem. Well, as I'm writing this and playing, I reached levels where I have to use this, so I just discovered it too early =)
Something that made me lose a couple of times is that the character starts moving right after you press space if you're holding an arrow to choose the new direction. I mean, for example, you hold right arrow, then press space, then right arrow immediately causes an unwanted movement (although I know you don't have to hold it, but holding is more intuitive). Maybe movement should be delayed a little bit when you just keep holding a key, or that key should be completely ignored until you release it and press it again (that would work better for me I think).
Good job!! And here's an interesting screenshot hehe
