Great! Wasn't sure what was going on with the first level, but it then the second level made it clear.

I really like the concept and your assets look really clean, but there doesn't seem to be much for the player to strive for in the gameplay other than avoiding the bullets. Towards the end of the playthrough in particular it feels like the player has little to do besides wait for the loss screen.

Interesting idea, however part of the fun in bullet hells is fighting back. It felt more like a puzzle game.

Love the art tho.

Nice work! Interesting concept on the bullet hell genre mixed in with the theme. Done really well, getting hit carries over into other levels. Neat!

At the beggining i was a little bit confused and thought I was immortal or something, but when I realized the how the idea went it all clicked!!

Not too familiar with the bullet hell genre, but this was a great introduction. I'm super curious to know how the intricate patterns are created. Also, please tell me the laugh is homemade.

Love the work. Proud of you 💖

@victor-long Thank you! We think it's a fun surprise as well.

@smoe Agreed. It would be nice to have more levels and maybe opportunities for more variety and storytelling, but alas, we had limited time.

@binayas That's a very good point. We did consider shooting mechanics, but decided to focus our efforts and time on the dodging as to get that aspect of the play as good as we could get it, rather than split our focus.

@t-c Thank you!

@poshaus I enjoy that moment as well - there's always that certain sense of unfamiliarity when you play a game for the first time, isn't there? Thank you!

@teamldm I personally recommend Ikaruga as a good starting point! The SFX are homemade in the sense that I added effects/processing to stock Creative Commons and public domain sounds - a lot of low pass filters for deep rumblings, layering effects to get different textures, adding reverb and changing the tempo and pitch. It was fun!
