This was an interesting game. It was fun exploring the different strategies and eventually I found one I liked. Half the map was for resource generation and the other was for the houses when they showed up. Good game.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD54 → Exploit the Tiles

Nice game
Quite intriguing of a game!
I enjoyed experimenting with various tactics and strategies, exploring the map and gathering resources.
Overall, it was an enjoyable game.
Really fun and interesting. Sounds like there's more to come and I'm excited for that. Great job!
Really nice game! Only thing, my laptop is too small, so I could only see the card writings in full screen, otherwise they got too thin and pixelated and whole parts disappeared, becoming unreadable.
Good game. These are the games I don't play much normally but love during Ludum Dare. Super easy to get lost in them and play for a long time, which always leaves me impressed at how long I can spend playing a game made in a weekend! Anyways I wish there had been a little more clarity on what exactly is going on or what I'm working towards. I was playing and just didn't feel super invested, I guess? There's just a lot going on and I'm quite unsure how to keep progressing. Got a card that did damage to me, I didn't even realize I had a health bar. It's still a super solid game though, very polished, clean interface. Well done!!
The game looks fantastic, and I genuinely appreciate the artwork and the intriguing game mechanics. However, during my initial playthrough, I encountered an issue where the map disappeared from the screen. It took me a while to figure out that the map moves in accordance with the position of my mouse. I hope there are some constraints on how far the map can move on the screen to make it more user-friendly. Additionally, I'd love to see more interactions between tiles based on how players arrange them. Nevertheless, overall, great job!
Thanks a lot to everyone who played the game!! <3
I'm releasing the first major post-jam update this weekend on itch. Hoping to eventually have a proper, full game.
Nice mechanics. Not very challenging by now, but fun anyway, I liked it =)
Here are some points that I think could improve the game: - The win condition wasn't clear (I didn't really know it existed, I just kept playing until I won). I see the oportunity to have several kinds of goals (expand by N tiles, generate some amount of a resource etc), and set new goals randomly or once the previous one is achieved. - Moving the mouse near the borders of the screen moves the camera, I found myself constantly moving the camera by accident because of this - New cards come too fast, you don't have much time to read and choose which to use - Balance resource generation so the player has to choose more carefully (which reinforces the previous point) - Cards are a little hard to read, and unreadable when scaled down. Also, a succinct indication of the effects would be good, like "+30 🪨 / min".
Maybe you're already addressing some of these, and I'll surely enjoy playing it when updates come, good job!
