Sorry, that's just Microsoft Defender SmartScreen being overly protective. It notices an unknown publisher and will throw up a warning. I can't do much about that; I'm not a regular publisher, just an amateur.
erm... interesting. I can see where the idea for this was heading but unfortunately there isn't really any substance to it. The movement felt quite good for what it is and the visuals gave me a strange vibe like one of those horror games that pretends to be all fun and happy.
The stand out for me was the audio, while the music was repetitive, it was also quite good (especially for a jam) and fit well with the game. The sound effects were also fine.
I always try and complete every game I try to make sure I can give them a fair rating, when I saw how long it takes to collect the colours I really struggled, especially considering how tedious and repetitive it is. Nonetheless, I was powering through when I ended up getting soft locked. I had a bunch of reds in my inventory and got my way up 4 colours and accidentally ended up with a full inventory, so no room to get any oranges. I'd already been walking in and out of cylinders for well over 5 minutes at this point so that's definitely enough for me.
Of course, as you've said on your post, you didn't get to spend the whole jam on this and considering that it really isn't that bad. I hope you come back and try again next year because you could definitely make something great
P.S. This is a reminder not to change game ideas multiple times :)
Thank you @pegasys for your review. The inventory size of 4 gives you a little bit of headroom, but not much. I tried some other sizes for the "limited space", but this felt about right. Sorry if it is repetitive, it was all I could manage in the time left and was glad it has some form of gameplay loop and decent finish. You can complete it in about 5/6 minutes, but you should keep an eye on your inventory and make the right trades for that. One of the tricks is be wary of the reds and avoid them if you're trading for higher colors.
nice game.
The change in trading ratios towards the end bamboozled me, unfortunately.
Definitely don't change ideas so many times. My duo this time around spent a half hour brainstorming and then filtered out everything. This way we didn't get encouraged to chop and change.
As for this game I did enjoy it overall, the gameplay loop was a bit tedious for me but given the challenges you faced, its totally understandable.

3 red/orange × 3 orange/yellow × 3 yellow/green × 3 green/cyan × 3 cyan/blue × 1 (???) blue/white = 243 red/white.
This game is only about figuring out this formula. It's tedious, I won't lie, but I had some kind of scientific-method fun making sure I got it right. No replay value, though.
And then... the door opens, but I couldn't walk through? Nothing happens? No "you win!" screen for my trouble? :P
pretty simple game with interesting gameplay, love it :)
Thanks for sharing the formulae @greytyphoon. It looks like the door didn't completely open there. It should be possible to travel beyond the door onwards to the finale (at least it was in my playtests). Sorry for that bug. I will look into it. The 1 blue/white trader is special, it spins 3 times faster as the others; that's why it only needs 1 blue. I put it there to make it easier to the end.
The game is interesting, it was quite nice to play it, keep working on it and everything will be cool
I'm actually disappointed to see you weren't able to go further than this concept. Right now, it's just a tedious loop of building up resources and trading up to the next, but I think it could be something impressive with more work and some actual content put into it. The music is also surprisingly good given the fairly basic graphics.
