Neat concept, I liked the mechanics where you pick up people for power ups.
I loved the mechanic where you get boost from the crew. Had a bug where spiders were able to get through the wall when colliding with bodies of dead spiders Nice visuals too!
After I took my first damage, spiders just ate me alive without giving much of change to escape or retrieve my glory. Turrets were a good addition, added some strategic thinking to the gameplay. Also I like the hive animation, gross in a good way
Very fun jam game! It's amazing how this simple design makes for so much fun.
Things I loved: the mood. The theme. Scientists! Experimenting with the different scientist builds.
What could be improved? There were some tight hallways where the aliens were hidden under the walls and/or walking through them. I wish there was a super creepy (or upbeat) scifi music track in the background.
Great work! I enjoyed the game a lot!
Thanks for the comments. Yeah obviously we lacked some time in the end. It was our 2nd game jam, so every time we improve a little. Also first time with the navagent in godot so a lot to learn :D
Good job on the audio and graphics, looks and feels very nice. A bit more work on the hit boxes, and collisions for the aliens would be great
That was great. Really hard though. Just getting too close to a critter seems to be instant game over. I love the sound design. The spawn sound is suitably ominous. The power ups were a nice addition to keep things interesting. The aliens being occluded by the walls wasn't great, and they would sometimes clip through the bottom. I missed that you could restock turrets, that font is not the easiest to read. Interestingly I got much further not using the turrets. It seems they spend most of their time shooting at dead aliens which is not useful. I ran into a bug where starting a new game would still have the 'you lost' window open from my previous round over the character. I could still move and shoot but not really see what I was doing.
graphics were cute! dying from one hit seemed unneccessary. turrets seemed out of place since you move around so much.
Well, it was fun to run around, but the damage output either seemed uneven or lacked any player healing.
